No way! I had been wondering a couple days back if pumpkin masks would shield your eyes from them! Sounds nifty, and it makes a gimmick useful as well.
its probably gonna be named Farlander because if anyone has been to the farlands, They knows it's a really tall stretched out valley/mountain, so maybe the farlanders have adapted to those lands and have traveled to the normal biomes of minecraft, which explains why they look so thin and tall
Despite the many votes for Enderman it's very unlikely that it will be chosen. As the forums have mentioned Notch has already done a lot of hard work with the name Farlanders.Still ENDERMAN WILL RULE ZE WORLD
On the other, Farlander has a nice ring to it.

For the creature itself I think will eventually be annoying, especially if it's black and your outside during the night.
