It's a good suggestion. It suggests they ORIGINATE from the mysterious "edge" of the world.

Enderman.. a good name that sounds too much like a meme. Though it sounds like whatever's named that should be more "insect-like". That's just what the name sounds like, I guess.

Farlanders because i really dont want minecraft asociated with memes, heck even one of the quotes on opening minecraft says "absolutly no memes"
Also farlanders makes some sense with the minecraft world

There's no point in voting, notch said no petitions will change the name. So it's officially Endermen.

I freaked out when i first saw enderman, I like the name enderman better than farlanders. Enderman just sounds more dark and scary.

Well, like it or not, minecraft has created a few memes, so there are some in there.

Well then, looks like I can tell the Redditors from the Intellectuals, and it seems the Redditors are winning, sad.

Farlanders sound better, since they appear stretchy, warped, much like the Farlands are. The fact that they are the only mob that can pick up blocks (other than player) makes them seem like they have powers that allow them to have survived in the Farlands.

Regardless of what the new mobs are called, I believe it is paramount that they be retextured.

does it really matter about the name? it's more on how the mob acts really. for someone who bought minecraft and never went on the internet about it so he or she won't spoil the experience, then encounters the creeper, would have no idea that it even had an official name. just know it would be something to avoid. well now that that's outta the way, endermen FTW!!!

I never mind about the name,The only thing i mind about it is not to make it to be too creppy...Anyway don't make me die once i touch it! XD

It's so much more exotic and mysterious than Farlander....

Look at the back of the zombie...It looks like it has arrows stuck in his back/shoulder...OR it could just be an arrow flying by! but it still looks like its stuck in the zombie :smile.gif:
