Anyways I vote enderman, I think it sounds better and farlanders doesn't sound suiting because they don't exactly live anywhere far, as "far" (XD) as I know.

A creepypasta CAN be a meme if it's known widely enough and used enough.
I'd have to say the fact that everyone knows what Slenderman is and uses it in a few vids. R33mix (I think) has even made a GMod/TF2 creepy vid with Slenderman in it.
