For the people getting code/jibberish/etc. when they click the download link - READ THE THREAD - I have answered this 3 or more times. It's as simple as right-clicking the link instead. Your browser is acting funny (which is known to happen on occasion).
For those that are looking for the list of updates - again, READ THE THREAD. This has been posted and there is someone here that is maintaining a list and occasionally quoting himself to update it.
For those asking how to install - READ THE THREAD. This too has been answered in the thread. You replace the "minecraft.jar" file you download with the one in your "%appdata%\.minecraft\bin\" folder (if you're using windows). I can't help you with MAC as I don't own one.
Please read before posting because by not doing this, you are making the posts with the answers harder and harder to find and people have to start thread digging.
Love enhancing my weapons now. Having lots of fun exploring. Found one irritating bugs. Paintings on my walls are randomly popping off. May not seem like a big problem but when I scroll through a city I built and hidden passages are now being revealed because the painting suddenly disappeared, it becomes a major problem.
There is a BAD BUG in 1.9 PRE-4, I'll stay in PRE-3 for now because watermelons only give you ONE melon. You can usually sprint really long but now, I can't cuz they dont give enough health considering how long each one takes to grow
It's not that bad of a bug. Use bread or Pork or steak ....

bugs:
-thrown potions cease to exist after you save & quit
-when hacked into the game (i'm doing this for testing purposes) they can go through the blocks above them when it's a block they cant destroy (ex. whitestone)
-instant damage throwable potions have no effects on zombies (they're the only ones ive tested of hostiles)
- this seems to be only for me but the baby animals don't grow up
-occasionally when i die the xp i drop gets me to level 10 and other times it's halved and sometimes it's none so that's kind buggy
These are the only bugs i've found so good work Mojang!

Ok yeah it is pretty cool pre-release 4 came out but i got to say i am disappointed with the end i really was looking forward to an air dimension =( well... i hope they include an air dimension as well.

I walked into a cave and I found a Skeleton and a Creeper. I shot the Creeper with a bow and it began to explode. After that, it crashed the game. Each time I load the level, the Creeper is still exploding and it causes extreme fps drop. Anyone else with this problem?
Awesome, i started a new world just for the enchantments, and I spawned in a swamp, the drip effect is cool, and the enchantments look amazing. Also, the splash potions look like tons of fun!
Dont know if this has been mentioned but, what is the use of shovels and axes being able to get the fortune enchantment if the fortune enchantment doesnt work on wood or dirt. I know the fortune enchantment works with gravel, so I guess that is a useful for a fortune enchanted shovel but still there is no use (that I can find) for a fortune enchanted axe.

Not for sure if this has been posted yet but 1.9p3 the animals worked with breeding. 1.9p4 seems the babies are broke. Also the snowmen are broke (that or invisible) I will sometimes see tracks of snow they leave behind or a snow bug where i can get unlimited snow.
Edit! It was the server software with these issues, not the client itself. Will the server jar be fixed to reflect these fixes or do I need to play the client only to get all features?

Are you getting any kind of error when you try the save target as or save link as option? I'll see if I can help figure it out.
