You're going to have to put the class files in the zip file inside the jar file instead of replacing it wholesale. No idea what causes that.
When it comes up to save file change file name from minecraft to minecraft.jar and switch the bottom line to all files and you should get a jar file after it saves that you can stick right into your minecraft folder after removing the current minecraft.jar which you should name 1.8 and put away in case you wanna go back
Ghasts fireballs will now kill a player at full health if it is a direct hit and the player isn't wearing armour. Also the ghast fireballs set things on fire again.
I installed 1.9v4. everything checked out ok then i tried to load minecraft and its stuck on a downloading update screen. So i go and double click the new minecraft.jar file and it tells me "Failed to load main=Class manifest attribute
