I particularly like the skeleton heads. They look very... great? To a further add-on to the skeleton heads, placeable bones. Just an idea that came to when I saw the picture.
Come to think of it, I actually do want another decoration-related feature for vanilla Minecraft: furniture. Looking at the list of upcoming 1.4 features so far, I'm crossing my fingers right now that they finally implement furniture.

I'm sorry everyone, but there will only be one mob head: the skeleton. They will be used to summon Withers when arranged in some pattern. (makes a good defense against griefers in SMP if you're away, huh? :P)

more pointless things to put in the vast empty rppms of the big houses i have
would it be possible to make the Jukebox rs friendly? So that when it has music disc inside, and you power it with RS/button/lever it starts playing the music disc...
just imagine the inventions on this... let´s say you alternate the music disc/or you don´t (does not matter) ... you could that way create / prepare ambient / sceneric music/sounds for different places...
ie. you build a castle/cathedral/whatever... you put down press.plates near the entrance or inside the building somewhere, and connect the RS from press.plate to jukebox loaded with some angelic choir music or w/e... now when someone walks into the building ... well you can imagine what will happen
really, i think this portion of your post is totally brilliant and since it would be used to create ambiance, which goes rather well with decorations, i think it does fit here. i think it'd also be brill to have recordable discs to go with it. what a fun way to troll your friends that would be! record the creeper hiss and hook it up to a trigger wire in some building you know they'll go into. lol that would definitely get their pulse racing for a second. then tell them it was you so you both can have a laugh in the end. i support your idea.
I don't know if these have been suggested, but I have a list of several:
Carpets/rugs
Mailboxes (working item? eue)
Aquariums
Appliances (like refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, etc.)
Toilet (Using a cauldron is pretty...weird. ._.)
Taller fences (for corrals and the like.)
^ And with this I mean taller, but with fewer middle pieces for when you place two side-by-side. ...I hope that makes sense. ^^;
On another note, I wish we had more water mobs. D':
If I think of other ideas I'll post again. I had a whole lot more, but I went to sleep and forgot.

What makes killing a passive mob impressive? I think that is a terrible opinion.
I wonder if they are going to be crafted with bones, or if they drop form skeletons upon death. Maybe even you can only find them in dungeons and abandoned mine shafts.
You could use them to make tamable skeletons!
Skeleton skull on top,then a iron block with a frame with a bone on it,and then you could possibly place iron leggings on the bottom. It makes a skeleton that is neutral. If you give it bones,you can tame it. You can feed it a nether star to turn it to a Wither Skeleton that is stronger.If you get about 10 diamonds and a nether star,and feed a normal tamed skeleton both,it becomes a Wither. Or just give a wither skeleton all the diamonds. You can ride the tamed wither,command it to fight,sit,guard,and sleep.
It can level up to 100. It becomes larger as it levels up. When you ride it,you can control it. It will even not destroy any player made blocks when it hits them. Or any block near your house. You can feed it a iron ,gold ,or diamond pickaxe,and it will get a mine command,where it uses its block breaking ability to make a hole down,not breaking ores,and it will mine any ore in sight. It gets infinite durability. Feeding it coal,rotten flesh (Cannibalism!),or obsidian can heal it. Feeding it obsidian will increase its level. You can name your pet anything you want,and its name will appear over its head. If you feed it a Dragon Egg,it will turn a darker color,increase its stats by 4,and make it seem like to enderman the wither is a cat and the enderman is a creeper. Also I did say stats. When it is level one,it has the normal wither stats. Normal health,damage,speed,stuff like that. Every time it levels up,its stats increase by 2. So feeding it a dragon egg makes all of the stats increase by 8.
I like decorations, it adds beauty and fun but will like it more like if it has other power function. Aside from beautifying the game why not make it part of the game by giving them little powers. Something like, guarding the walls where they're located and scares away hahahha
