Spambots. I dont think minecraft has inertia, or whatever its called, so people can just rapidly make accounts.
Plausible, but what is the point of spamming accounts? It hasn't done any damage that I'm aware of. Other than for malicious purposes, these bots serve no purpose.
wouldn't it just...just be the bees-knees if minecraft ended up out selling WoW. whata glorious slap in the face to vivendi it would be :3
oh, they wouldn't care, they'll still milk money from chumps with diablo 3. but all the same, i'd smile at least.
Well there should also be some angry birds @. so i`ll say
I`m not impressed by this at all.
For all that money 7mil*20Euro=140 mil euro
which is roughly 46.66 mil a year,
-25%VAT =35mil a year
divided by 12 means 2.91 mil euro/month
- wages (26), rent and utilities and other costs(let`s absurdly say the 4 would cost 0.5 mil euro)
There`s still approx. 2.41 million euro/month worth of pure net profit.(and i didn`t add xbox and mobile)
They get all that money and i see no change (i`m saying this through the POV of a normal person who is not a programmer and does not notice all those technical changes)
(of course i didn't calculate separately for each year in which the price was changed and the exchange rate variable. but still...)
You can take this as an observation, as a fact or as a critique.
"The void is that which stands right in the middle of 'this' and 'that'. The void is all-inclusive, having no opposite - there is nothing which it excludes or opposes. It is living void, because all forms come out of it." - Bruce Lee

So Mojang, Work Work Work that worth of money.
Contrary to popular belief, money does not work. You can't throw billions of dollars at something and expect change. It'll gracefully fall to the floor and pile up until someone comes by and grabs it.
With only a couple developers, you aren't going to get WoW sized patches, even if they suddenly woke up and had all the money in the world. As you said as well, you don't notice technical changes. Whether or not you notice them, they happen. It takes longer to properly implement, test, and debug issues that come out with new features and content longer than it does to actually get it into the code in the first place.
Deserves more sales, keep going!!
I was just about to ask that myself.
