I am pretty sure we don't. I have a village (I made a topic about it) with a jungle behind it. In 1.3.1 I went to the jungle to see if anything grew on the trees, and they did. You probably don't need to make a new map for it.
Actually, for anything new that has been added to the game (Ores, Mobs, ETC) you will have to generate new Chunks in your world to be able to find them.
Anyone else having some serious performance issues with this prerelease?
Previously, I could usually run 60+ fps with a 128x texture pack in 1.4.7. When I tried thing this, however, my average FPS plummeted to about 10 fps with a 128x pack. I'm aware that the workings have changed a lot, but still, it should not be THIS bad.

I'm excited to mess around with some of the new stuff, hopefully won't take to long for some of my mods to catch up. Deep down I was really hoping for the end of the lighting glitches, but otherwise I think it will be pleasing.
If anyone here use MultiMC they won't be able to get the pre-release 1.5 running straight, you have to upgrade the LWJGL thing to the 2.8.5 it works, without that it keep crashing without loading, it has a message about LWJGL so I figured out that changing the version of it could fix that and it works.
It's a running gag at this point, but I agree. Kind of lame.
Tried updating LWJGL (Using Mac 10.5.8 and Java 6), didn't do anything. I'll try updating Java, but until then, blah.
