I updated to the 1.5 Pre-Release this evning and a vast majority of existing RS are inherently broken and have to be remodled from scratch.
1. Two high piston extender taht used two differant delays in the bottom piston functions normally, however two Gravel/Sand blocks on top to create a "door" will delete one block on use.
2. One tick pistions will no longer 'drop' a block and instead is will extend and always retract with the block (eg destorys all compact latches Codecrafted/CNBMinecraft has released) with a wtf exception for 5.
3. Double piston extenders that exist in a semi bugged state that breaks on a nearby block update behave randomly. Using an array design from I believe CodeCrafted multiple times will in fact bug out the pistons so some are not in the same extension pattern as others.
4. Randomizers build off the random nature of Dispensers are broken. On second use it had deleted the buckets contained there in.
5. A verticle triple piston extender (designer unknown) will extend to but not grab the block it should. This is not the same issue as a 1 tick piston, it is lever based on the pistons are fully extended (ie holding the block) but when turned off they do not move the block at all.
All designs, witha minor exception in changing a RS repeater's timing for the 3x3 piston door from CNB, work in MC 1.2.5, 1.3.2, & 1.4.7. Do Not Work In 1.5. Which means this RS update you're so happy about breaks RS into a nearly unusable state.
While it is true the new Notch-free deva team has no desire to maintain RS consistantcy with previous versions (they mentioned BUDs will be broken) several of this RS errors are wiping items from the world or behaving erraticcly suggestion in fact these are unintentional bugs. So I advise users not to update until these issues have been corrected.
Minecraft Had Lost It Sparkle Since Notch Changed The World Generation In Beta 1.8.. Why Bother Playing Again And Again If It Will Always Looks The Same , Dull , And Boring.. Try Google "i miss the old world generation"
The only reason why I can't wait for 1.5 to be released is to see what's in store for us in 1.6 i.e. I don't really care for redstone, worse performances and annoying white dots along block edges. This will actually be the first time I don't update since I started playing (beta 1.2); I will somewhat miss quartz blocks but I'll definitely enjoy not having to update my bukkit plugins for a long while...
