EDIT: Added lamps, made the brass an alloy of copper and zinc, added brass armour and a brass torch. Brass torch same as normal, crafted with 1 brass and 1 stick, gives off more light. Armour crafted the same as normal armour, except helmet, its crafted like this:
String String
Brass Glass Brass
Brass Brass Brass
That was what i meant, you could cheat easily but you decided to be fair that's why i am glad :smile.gif:
Well, I meant that I couldn't cheat easily, because it would be blindingly obvious and the contest host would have to be an utter moron not to notice. :/
Steampunk is a genre of science fiction, with an associated subculture. It is based on the idea of an alternate timeline in which steam-powered devices (and sometimes electrical ones) continued to advance without the development of internal combustion and modern industry, often to fantastical levels. The thing that sets steampunk apart from simply being anachronism is the fact that steampunk inventions, despite essentially running on boiling water, are often as or more advanced than our own technology, sometimes to fantastical levels.
Stylistically, steampunk is typically characterized by the use of wood, copper or brass, and leather in construction. The most common design aesthetic utilizes construction reminiscent of Victorian-era construction (though steampunk can theoretically be any culture or era), with prominent displays of gears and mechanical parts being one of the hallmarks of the style. In particular, things like gaslights and airships are almost symbolic of steampunk.
Essentially, if you can call something a "gadget" and it runs on clockwork and/or steam, it fits with steampunk. The genre is also expanded to include the setting that is produced by a world with such technology. There are many people that enjoy a bit of role-playing; dressing up in period costumes accessorised with gears and steampunk props for conventions. This is a bit condensed, and doesn't cover everything there is to steampunk, but it should be enough for you to get the basic idea.
That's a pretty cool mod, and please excuse what I'm about to say, but brass isn't an ore you find underground; it's an alloy of copper and usually zinc.
First off, I'm not submitting Steamcraft to this competition because it is a.ineligible and b.unfair. Secondly, you post hate messages about a mod without checking first? Seriously? It doesn't have a steam engine, but it has a Steam Furnace, and many more things besides.
Either way, you may be 13, but you certainly do not have the brain power of a 16 year old.

I know that, I'm gonna try to add those two ores, because I'm still going to be editing the files, because the generations went too wild
I am so excited for this, I looooove Steampunk! This should be so interesting
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Let's imitate reality ...Insanity, Let's strive for mediocrity ...Insanity,

Okay, Pchan3 is so going to enter his Steampunk Airship mod...hopefully.

Not really, since it would still be made before this contest.
I wish :biggrin.gif:
No, unfortunately it doesn't. I can try to add the function before the deadline.

The good old days.

I agree with this person. Isn't a week a short time to make a mod?
Not at all, I don't think a whole new dimension's out of the question even!
