...Eh...I tried it, and there are just too many things that don't work. I assume the default spawning guild members are supposed to attack monsters that spawn around the guild house...thing...but they don't. They defend themselves when attacked, but if the monsters aggro on ME, they're about as useful as a gold armor set in the nether. In addition, hiring a hunter essentially ruined everything. I got shoved off a pretty high point because he...spawned in behind me? I don't really understand what the thought process of that happening was. Also, they make farming completely impossible, because they spawn on your crops and trample them with all the grace and delicateness of a bulldozer on nitrous oxide. In addition, the sheer amount of coins that monsters drop right from the start encourages grind, something that games that aren't World of Warcraft should avoid like the plague. It's a neat idea, and I'm sure it must get better later but...it's crippled from the beginning, and a game that can't grip you at the beginning simply won't fly with me. I understand that you're supposed to give games a chance before you ditch them, but honestly, when I play for 45 minutes, and find nothing that makes me want to play this instead of vanilla minecraft...why bother? It's ambitious but...until it's polished, and a good bit more work put into it, ultimately rubbish. There is potential here, a great deal of potential but...it takes a few wrong turns away from good design station, and heads down the road into the part of town called, "I will likely not pick up this mod again for another 6 months."

Sick of Runescape mods for Minecraft that are horrible, awful, broken, and in some cases not even made? Yeah, so was I, until I got roped into the RSMC team. It's basically perfect.
Somebody drew a **** on the wall! But who did it? It was old chuckleberrybum, doing the kind of "draw-****-on-wall-thing". It was all he ever did. He drew his first phallic object when he was just 4 months old! You see, some people don't find a purpose in life, they just draw dicks. Now, kids get a job and a watermill, so you don't have to draw penises for a living!
The Gold Coins should be replaced with Gold Nuggets that were introduced in 1.9. Gold Nuggets would go into a special slot in your inventory (your wallet, which could only hold Gold Nuggets but could hold a stack of 9999) and, like armor, you could move them to the main inventory so you could craft them into Ingots. And the Gold Nuggets that you can already get by crafting Ingots could be moved into the wallet.
And the Zombie Pigmen would have a chance of dropping Gold Ingots instead of Nuggets.
And by a stack of 9999, I mean 99999. Having the money be an actually useful item in the game would be a great idea since you could get it by mining for gold rather than defeating enemies, and you could actually use it for stuff such as Glistering Melons and Powered Rails. I trust that when Minecraft and the unobfuscated source code are both released this mod's polish will be able to increase exponentially.
Thanks to the whole deal with mods, you could even sell it or maybe Notch may like it enough to make it into the game's Adventure Mode.
Otherwise it looks awesome, as soon as I get my new (not-crap) compy, I'm definitely taking a peek at it.

Retired StaffThe only thing I don't like is how pathetic vanilla villages to me now, after i've seen this... :sad.gif: But that's not mod's fault, of course.
And the Zombie Pigmen would have a chance of dropping Gold Ingots instead of Nuggets.
*Hereby putting my personal stamp of approval on this mod*
May the force be without you.
