and I havent had it go out on its own thus far (and the code says the same thing) XD So I may have found it, even though its small and I have no idea why it would need to be there
I also figured out why they stay on fire in the end. Its because of the regenerators. These guys have a bedrock under them that is on fire, just for cool effect. That seems to be the reason for that.
Guys! I went searching around in the nether a bit. This COULD be it. Not sure. I definitely didn't realize this lol.

that has been there since anvil and is well known (bug)
I highly doubt this 'secret' has anything to do with dragon eggs or the end, its probably something really insignificant, but just for the sake of going on a stretch...
if bedrock can stay on fire indefinitely in the end, and we know that bedrock forms there when you destroy a crystal and when the egg spaws, someone could try setting all those bedrock bits on fire?
posible but the roof of the nether is a big...
wait is all of the void in the end empty? are we sure of that someone render out a huge area and check!!
there is bedrock above and below the nether go look
someone have a good look around up there
that has been there since anvil and is well known (bug)
see if you can find anything else
You misunderstood what I said, I was saying that bedrock in the End stays on fire forever, not that it is only in the end. and any bedrock in the end can be set on fire, but I will try for the portal frame there for sure.
Does anyone have any ideas? i dont know how to get to the source code or anythingz, lol. but its 11:10PM here and i dont want to go to sleep not knowing what this is...

People! Look here! http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/qprgw/notchs_secret_in_minecraft_discovered_rare_title/
"Basically there is a one in 10,000 chance that when the game loads, the title will display MINCERAFT instead of MINECRAFT.
EDIT: Pic of the changed title:http://www.majhost.com/gallery/vz1234512/Minecraft/bd2812/2012-03-09_20.43.13.png
Here is the code that does it. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/vz1234512/Minecraft/bd2812/code01.png

UPDATE!: Want to see it for yourself? Find the code shown in the second picture and change the ".0001D" near the top of the highlight to "1.1D". Since the variable used to show the alternate title will always be a number between 0 and 1, you'll have a 100% chance to see MINCERAFT! (thanks to AmberK of the MC forums for that idea)
Notch has not confirmed that this is the secret he was referring to, but I have tweeted him asking to confirm or deny. Seeing how minecraft has been ruthlessly datamined already, any items/recipes/mobs/textures in the game are already well known (most new items are discovered before they are even obtainable in-game). Something like this (which has gone unnoticed for at least several patches), is very probably it."
Notch is preparing for april fools day.
Like way back in beta, I think it was beta 1.4 when they added the steve co box that lead you to a suspicous website that popped out a dinosaur screamer.
That scared the crap outta me btw, back then i hated anything that made you jump.
I really think that '[recipe]' is supposed to be a hint. Its probably not a real crafting recipe, but i think the brackets are supposed to be a hit of somekind...

the brackets are what should have been said, but he left out when saying it since notch isn't a main language-english speaker
I.E. You Say: Well i fell off the bike"
They Say It Is: Well [Then] I Fell off the bike"
sorta like a correction thing
I know nothing about coding, but could someone decompile minecraft's code and look there for the secret recipe? Or would that take a ridiculously long time?
i have already checked, and i didn't find it, not even in shapeless recipes section!
Maybe the new item isnt an item (for we all know they have all been found)
but maybe its a Utility.
Maybe, the recipe is not what you craft on your bench but rather on actual ground much
like how you would make a Golum or Snowman -- maybe there is a new Utility out there...

bedrock in the end, not obsidian. So in the End only, bedrock stays on fire forever
