Awesome! I don't know if i'm putting this in the right place because i'm not a huge forums guy, but i think vines should work like cactus and reeds(sugar canes, bamboo... whatever you want to call them). So that if you break the highest one with shears you get all the ones below it instead of them disappearing.
That's against the law of physics. Vines work totally different from canes. Vines stick to each other just like in real life. Taking one down from any spot won't affect the other ones. Jeb and Notch do not read every single post on the forum to look for new changes. Even if they did read every post on the forum how could you guarantee they would even consider your idea out of maybe a hundred thousand.
The time of day adjustment appears to no longer be working.
No point of playing survival if you're just gonna skip the night (not sure if you are playing survival). Even if you're playing creative you don't need it, you have a brightness setting. Survival you explore/adventure and survive the night. I do not see the need for it.
You guys, I think I found a glitch about the Redstone Repeater. I was in Creative mode, on Ubuntu Linux 11.04 (Unity) using Sun Java 6 update 26, and I got this glitch: http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/9966/buggyredstonerepeater.png
Did you guys see that? It was all dark and buggy!

Is anybody else having a problem making the downloaded file a .jar? I'm getting two folders with heaps of files in them... Not the .jar files. The 1.8 v1 pre-release downloaded just fine last time. I had no folders, but now I'm getting folders
can u help me? if i place it in the bin, than hy stuck by doneloading :sad.gif: HELP ME!!!!
How to install the pre-release:
---> Step 1: Open your bin folder by going to .minecraft
---> Step 2: Delete OR put YOUR minecraft.jar into another folder, and drag the pre-release .jar file into the bin folder.
---> Step 3: Open the pre-release .jar file and delete the folder called META-INF (or it will not work).
---> Step 4: Run Minecraft and before logging in check off (force update) if you can't log in, try playing offline.
**NOTE** If this doesn't work you did something wrong.
When will the updates be finished? I can't wait! :biggrin.gif:
Nobody knows, and anything anybody tells you isn't true unless they linked it with evidence. But what I can say is considering a HUGE amount of bugs were posted on the Minecraft wiki and once most of the important ones are fixed a stable version of the REAL Adventure Update will be released.
So whens the REAL 1.8 out c'mon its the 14th! AHH THE PAIN
:sad.gif:
It's not coming out on the 14th, where did you read that? Any date posted by anybody but Jeb and Notch must be linked with proof or it's untrue. And you really haven't seen the Minecraft wiki, there's over 100 bugs still left to fix.
If you look at some other discussions, you will find detailed info on how to use the client .jar file or setting up a server. (and I did not open the .jar to remove the META-INF folder)
As far as what was fixed...if you used PR1 and nothing crashed, and no weirdness...then you may not notice much difference.
But as for me, the furnace stopped crashing, frame rate was better, no lockups so far.

That's a nice forum you got there.... It'd be a shame if something happened to it....

The brightness setting makes it pretty bright at night though.
