Sorry o thought you were talking about the initial login. It sounds like its an issue with the server your running. I'd try restarting first then if that doesn't work I'd try redownloading the new server.

Umm i don't know if its just me but pictures just show up as a black spot on the wall so I was wondering is this me or the new update cause it happening with this new pre release
I occasionally have this SE Binary error where it tells me it's not working or something. I have the latest Java so I really don't know what's going on. This has been happening before the 1.8 stuff, but it has been happening a lot more now. And every so often the game tells me its out of memory(which is a problem I never saw before 1.8). Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?
2. Once in the following directory, simply copy/cut the new .jar and drag it over to the bin folder, if you are running Windows 7 click on "move and replace" when prompted to do so.

I dont know where abouts I am supposed to say this since everyone else with this problem hasnt been helped yet either but im running Mac OS 10.5.8 and i can get 1.8PR to go into the menu but when i create a new world (i am not trying to load a pre-1.8 world because i know that doesnt work) it will go through all the loading screens but when its about to actually go into the world so i can play i just get a black screen and then an error report flashes but it is so quick you dont get the chance to read it. If anyone has an solution or knows where i should go and repost this to get some help please let me know since this is rather confusing. thanks.

1. In the search bar, type in %APPDATA% and go to the following directory on your computer
Roaming\.minecraft\bin
OR simply copy this directory and paste it into the search bar, replace "ENTER_YOUR_USERNAME_HERE" with your computer accounts'name.
C:\Users\ENTER_YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin
