Actually, NO Mojang! Whenever I do something with a texture pack, and this has been happening for a while (1.3, I think), I have needed to go out of Minecraft and then put the edited texture in, or it fails. Doesn't matter if it is selected or not, it just doesn't work. I would not classify it as a bug, more of an annoyance. So if I put it on Mojira, people will say that it's not really a bug.
Actually I'd suggest you put it anyway. the cause of this is assets only load once. for now what you describe is 'expected behavior' but that may change when the pugin/mod api comes around.

I never said it was expected. I said it was annoying. It doesn't seem to be a bug in my eyes. That is what I was saying. Also, what do you mean "put it anyway"?
Naaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! This is like update-spam, I'm going to start flinching every time I load the news for fear there's another update!!!
ESPECIALLY for the modding community, this is getting seriously annoying... can't we be *thorough* and make sure ALL the bugs are squashed before we go for (checks history) the 3rd update in the last month!?!? Gah!

If you chose B): You are a perfectly normal person, and enjoy the Aether Mod. If you chose C): Please leave the planet now before you set off a nuclear warhead--no one enjoys mass murders, however nice they might seem to you.

Well, not all the bugs get caught in one update. It's like this:
A update of bug fixes come, then when the update is released that more major bugs, and minor bugs, are caught, then so on...

I meant "post it to the Mojira anyway" you are correct it's not a bug per-say, but is something that may well be a very valid concern in the future, therefore posting it to the Mojira might be a good idea.
The good news is bukkit has already finished the beta build for 1.4.5 this will hopefully end up being one of the smoothest update. now jeb, Kepp your hands away from the update button. No more updates til the new api -.-
I have NO problem with updates that fix bugs/add features. The problem I have is there is no reason a lot of the .1 to .5 bug fixes weren't included two patches ago instead of incremental patches every couple weeks. I know this is a newly introduced bug (Lan issue) but the obviousness of that one makes me question the testing process.
All that said, still loving the game and thinking it's getting better all the time and the mod community has gotten infinitely more refined. These patches coming in quick succession however is good at driving away people from their hobby when they are constantly spending more time updating and not adding to/improving their mod.
Personally I think all the bug - squashing updates are good. Yeah they may not introduce any new blocks, but oh well, so what! Bug - squashing updates are better as they boost the performance of minecraft on your PC.

The big problem is that - in spite of what they say and how they name the releases - Minecraft is still in Beta. WE are the bug testers. It's something that anybody who has played for more than a year is used to, as back when they said it was in Beta we expected bugs and reported them.
It's ironic that now that it's supposed to be officially released, reporting of bugs is actually quite streamlined. Back when we were supposed to be finding bugs (as opposed to now when we find them even though the game is supposed to be released) it was hard to know if anybody heard you.
Anyway, if you just pretend the game is still in Beta (it helps to note that it actually is, whatever they say) then all this bug reporting stuff is much easier to deal with.

For what it's worth, I was getting the 0.0.0.0:random_port for the LAN, too, but another computer could connect just fine. It looks that way because it's where your at, but it should come up fine for other people. (At least for Linux...can't vouch how it works on a Mac.)
You update too much fast, release when u have a lot of fixes and additions..
Every time we need to wait for update too in the mods and other stuff, and check for an update for this.. release updates slower!!!
Could someone help me? I just updated minecraft didn't think anything of it took a little while. I just thought my internet was being ty. Then when it's done the screen just turns black and will not load. even when i re download minecraft it has the same problem. So again will someone help me? Please.

Build 6.4.0.380
cpw: Fix the derpy torch flames properly. Closes MC-2497 properly
Too many updates .-.
Woah woah!

Nothings going through the Nether. :/
Tried to put villagers and items in, they don't teleport in.
Use MCNostalgia. But may I ask, why do you want to? 1.4.4 has more bugs than 1.4.5 and both versions have the same exact features.
