Well, if you put them in a layout consisting of gold blocks, the nether reactor, and cobble, it supposedly is supposed to spawn an obsidian box, as well as pigmen, glowstone, gold, and some other things. But I haven't gotten it to work yet. (If you need to see the layout look up Nether Reactor Core on the wiki)
Am I the only one completely underwhelmed by this release? Waiting months and months for painting and mushroom farming? My biggest complaint with PE is that you really can't do anything meaningful in the game yet. For a game about mining, you have no minecarts, tracks, buckets, TNT, etc. For a game about farming, you can't woo animals using wheat yet, can't grow a lot of things, can't breed anmials, etc. For a game about building, you can't build anything mechanical as redstone isn't in the game. Unless I'm missing something, it seems like there could have been a much more meaningful update. Do you mean to tell me the most requested features were paintings, glowstone, and mushroom farming?

PE has TNT already and the rest of the things you mentioned will most likely be added eventually.

no, but also me that i was about to kill myself with the next update coming, i was checking everyday on minecraftwiki.com a month earlier from the update release. i'm waiting for all the things in the computer version and right now, i'm banging my head on the wall because of the next update isn't planed yet. holy f**king s**t bi**h ba**erd a** jacka**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it's awesome. Me and my brothers have been gold mining like crazy ever since we got the update, diamonds arent a problem, we have tons. But the 4 gold blocks is just killing me, 36 ingots!! But pretty soon we'll have it and i'll just say the other features are cool too. If you don't know what i'm talking about, it's the nether reactor, a pe exclusive block that brings the nether to you, how cool is that?
Hey,.. Do think that crafting should be improved in the next update in minecraft pe? Tall grass? Caves? And armor?

Ok, so you know what I said earlier, we'll I'm wrong. The nether reactor sucks. I mean its pretty awesome but I spent days and days with little success to find the gold and I just used it. You get the core back but not the cobble or....THE GOLD BLOCKS I WORKED SO HARD TO GET!!!!!! And to top it off one of my buds disconnected and we lost some stuff. We got melons but it wasn't really worth it. Caution to those who seek it, it can be a really big rip off!!!!!!!
Ok the update is fun with the bug fixes and everything I was scared at first about the watermelon for food but it worked also the Nether Reactor is very hard to make but takes a lot of room :\Ok so I had the same questions but I have finally found the answer to it
CAVES-might be an option in a future update because some devises might not be able to handle it

Any idea when the new patch update will be out, or what will be in it?The reactor has to be rebuilt after each use... That part sucks... but getting mushrooms and glowstone was nice...

No. It is only for PE. It is an alternative to the Nether. PC has no use for it.

Its more like a Castle I think... Old broken obsidian castle... Kingdom of the Ghasts...
