Well that's the problem. Every time they promise us 'it's coming soon' or 'it's coming in the next update', nevertheless they keep delaying it. And I'm slowly getting sick of the waiting. Either they're just doing nothing at Mojang, or this mod API must be more amazing than Forge and all APIs combined, which I doubt.

They never promised us anything, show me where it says we promise. All I seen is that they promise they will fix it thats about it.
Sorry but you are another person that does not know how games/coding works clearly. I can list TONES of games with WAY bigger staff then MJ has that either delays the patch or content due to issues. *cough* blizzad, NcSoft, ArenaNet, and RIOT *cough* need more of a list?

You need to learn how to quote people since what you quoted and posted had nothing to do with what I posted LOL.
Mojang is paying him. That makes it his job, and Mojang's responsibility to see to it that he does it in a timely fashion, has the support he needs, and hires additional employees to assist him when and if it becomes obvious that it is necessary... You know, like two releases ago? My God people, they are still having discussions about what the API should be! In what way, as a paying customer, should I be satisfied with unfulfilled promises? In what way is Mojang NOT responsible?
Oh, and as I write this, I note that Mojang authentication is down, and I cannot even connect to servers running 1.3.2, let alone DL a copy of the latest updates.

Actually, I have posted EXACT details as to how it will have to be done, including potential problems for mod developers and server hosts alike. There is no question about how it will have to work. Part of the concern there, and the delay, is because of the reasons I gave responding to a post for ideas. It's going to **** off a bunch of mod developers.

Then why don't you go over there and whine about how hes slow than whine about it on a completely unrelated topic?
I don't know.... maybe because this IS a related topic? Why, you ask? Well, it's very simple: we were promised API for 1.3. That didn't happen. We were promised API for 1.4. That didn't happen; in fact, the truth of the matter is that if they're still asking people what it should be and how it should be done, then it hasn't even started to happen. Furthermore, the original gripe was about Mojang once again leaving Bukkit high and dry on the dev. build process, which means that it's going to be days before the Bukkit team has a stable release for servers. You know, those things to which you connect when you are wasting other people's time in places other than the forums? And that makes it an update topic.
