Awesome update!
Of course with new patches comes some glitches needing to be worked out, but nothing out of the normal.
I love the patch. I personally really REALLY like the Anvil. Very very useful to both the hardcore and the casual players.
AWSOME! I figured out that if you customize your superflat world to the preset overworld then get rid of everything but bedrock your world will have a bunch of floating mine shafts, and you can go around pickpocketing the chests.

New usefull blocks and structures
bug fixes

Bad:
Boring Terrain Gen
Villages have no variety
Mountain more like stupid hills
Cobblestone Texture changed
gravel texture changed
sounds changed (they suck ASS)
charging bows
New Minecraft really is just being held up by mods and tolerable updates
Old Minecraft still has that Nostalgia charm.....RIP Minecraft...; Classic - Beta 1.7.3
OMG Love the new update. LOL I just got killed by a zombie holding my diamond sword with fire aspect lll!
Oh, I was under the impression that "fire aspect" only went up to II.....
OT: Yup, coolio update. Except that every time an update comes out all I can do is wait for the next one, however, this one is different. Lots of fun and minecraft definitely progressed within the space of a year (correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure this would have been 1.8 or 1.9ish).
I'm a bit disapointed that rare drops are damaged now but I speant a week in game days looking for chain armor to spawn and I got a chain helmet, enchanted it and repaired it with anvil. Other then that a pretty good update.

Agreed. It's kinda surprising too. Simple sounds like walking on sand used to be so realistic, now they are worse, more 8-bit sounding, and stutter like mad. I really am surprised they took a big step backwards on something they had pretty much nailed as perfect, and should have left alone.
