No, just... No. The rest of your post is fine, but THAT statement right there has all my no. Please tell me you are not serious in this. Assassin's Creed is NOT a game meant for 7-year-olds, as far as I can tell. I am 18 and very much appreciate the game's complex and twist-filled story.
I realize that I am probably nitpicking or fussing about something a lot of people would say isn't important about the post. But this offended me.
Yeah I agree its kinda cool. But I know so many little kids who are all over it and obsessed with it and everytime they see it they start freaking out...
I saw this on Reddit, Dinnerbone posted it as his cakeday post to cash in for karma, he said you edit nbt tag "Username" -&rt on the skull items. Not obtainable in Vanilla. Go to the reddit page on /r/minecraft and find his post of the hidden feature.
1) I would like to see those complaining try to run a game as big as Minecraft.
2) To those complaining: These updates are not only for looks. Two new mobs, one of which is a boss. A beacon for not only navigation but for effects and finally a good use for mineral blocks. Plus more mobs are going to be added.
3) My favorite part: Ideas! I like the heads(hope you can wear other people's heads), but I thought of something WAY better. Imagine if you didn't Immediately wake up from bed in a multiplayer server. Instead, you would dream until everyone was in a bed. You would spawn in a map that is a superflat world with trees with leaves of wool OR you would have a nightmare. Nightmares would be on an island of soul sand surrounded by lava. Just an idea I had.
Before I start I would just like to note that; you didn't thoroughly read all of my comments yet you still complain about what I have to say, I guess you're too ignorant to do so and just think I'm blabbering on about nonsense, wrong. If you want to backup your arguments, you should at least read what I said.
Firstly just because a game is popular doesn't mean more work is spent on it than a small indie game, please think before you post because that is simply illogical. You probably don't know the understanding of Aesthetics but here: "Adj. 1. Aesthetical - concerning or characterized by an appreciation of beauty or good taste" just because they add a new mob that you can kill, does not mean it was intended to have an important role/function, and more so for looks rather than use. If you cannot understand true content, then I don't even know why I'm talking to you.. Please thoroughly read my comments before you moan and whinge that I am complaining when that also makes you hypocritical as you do the same action back to me.
I just realized, while you guys say we hate change, you are also showing that 'you' cannot handle change either.
I think I saw a village in the Xbox video. It's around 0:42. Looks like a church, a couple of other buildings, and a farm. Anyone else see it?
Yep. I mistook the buildings in the beginning of the enderman part for a village too, but that was definitely a church there.
Unfortunately, it was definitely 1.8 terrain. The fact that Mojang/4J switched it is, quite honestly, hilarious. Mojang knows full well that what we have sucks (at least, Jeb says that he's "gotten a lot of negative feedback" on it and that he doesn't want to touch terrain which seems really stupid 'cause the majority wants the change).
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I can see Super Mario's Head, Notch's Head, Samus Aran's Head, Captain Sparklez's Head, and Honeydew's Head. LOL does this mean when we place them it will ask "Enter Username"? I'm starting to like Dinnerbone more than Jeb. Although Jeb did add squids. Looking forward to the next snapshot!
2nd row 5th head is Dolan
4th row 7th head is Honeydew
also saddled pigs need to not move after you get off themI think Golden carrots should give you jump boost II for 5 minutes
Get it? because Bunnies eat carrots and bunnys jump.. and ... and
YOU KNOW!!
Just think of paintings, glowing redstone ore, burning furnaces, coloured wool, bricks, moss stone, glass panes, iron bars, cauldrons, vines, lily pads, jukeboxes, end stone, different types of wood, note blocks, dead shrubs. They all don't have a real use in the game. They all are just decorations. Why does every single block, item or entity in Minecraft need to have a use? Isn't their use to act as a decorative building element? You can't simply say a feature is bad just because you cannot do anything with it that helps you in any way during the gameplay. I'm not complaining about your opinion. I'm just saying your arguments do not really make sense to me.
Well this is an adventure update right..? Is it not meant to add more adventure? And I never said decorative blocks were a bad thing, but when content is pretty much only decorative blocks it gets annoying. My arguments make perfect sense, I would prefer a simple medieval-sandbox game which Minecraft was meant to be, but instead I try to see some alternatives. I totally UNDERSTAND that I do not HAVE to use the new content, but then what is the point in adding something that most people won't use anyway? It really is a waste of time. And the textures Jeb creates honestly aren't great, they are the same quality you could find in almost any bad mod I don't mean to offend but it really is true Jeb at least spend time on texturing, Notch did. I honestly don't mind if you listen to the community, but at least have some ideas of your own instead of feeding off the community 24/7 and listening to the minorities ideas and labeling them as the entire 'community'. I mean how is a frame, pumpkin pie or player skulls HONESTLY going to help the game? For anything other than looks.
You know these updates most people who just want to play Minecraft with mods shouldn't be playing. In fact these aren't even updates. Just test releases. Only people who want to test and find out all the bugs should be playing. If you want your mods just go back to regular vanilla minecraft untill the official update comes out.... o.o
Oh yes I know. I'm just saying when are the updates going to cool down. Because pretty much right after 1.3 came out, 1.4 was announced. And my beautiful mods are far away from me, one day we will meet once more.
Ever since 1.8 almost everything HAS been suggested by the community, they not coming up with their own ideas. "A lot" of people wanted to use, because I'm sure everyone wants golden carrots. Minecraft was intended to be a medieval sandbox. You prove yet another point of mine, snow golems, if no-one will use them then what is the point of adding them? Yeah the more decorative blocks you are handed, the less you use your creativity as the blocks do the work for you, and creativity is the main goal of this game and was not meant to have an end or "The End", the more possibilities to build what YOU want.. Well I guess it's pretty hard to build whatever you desire in an infinitely generated world, so more blocks must be a solution. As for dinnerbone's range monster, I'll wait till the disaster unfolds. I do not care about resolution, if I did then I would never have fallen in love with Minecraft, it is the quality of Jeb's content, firstly texturing is NOT drawing, texturing is pixel art especially at a low resolution, secondly I do not see how you can't realize the difference between quality of these textures.
1. Notch's Textures. 2. Jeb's Textures.
Notch's textures had a Minecraft style, as for Jeb's textures, they have the style of a WIP mod, or a newly created texture pack, not to mention everything goes off in different tangents, he never sticks to a specific style and look like they were made in 2 minutes, take the trip wire hook for example.
What's so bad about the tripwire hook's texture? And who said every single item in a video game needs to have a senseful use? There is a Whoopee Cushion in Teraria if I remember correctly. Or consider the Pokémon Luvdisc, what is its sense? Oh, and just pointing it out: You better would like jeb_ and Dinnerbone to bring up their own ideas that nobody wants than the ideas the community thought of and wants? Okay, as it seems we won't change our minds. In my opinion there has only been one negative change to Minecraft (apart from bugs of course) which unfortunately I can't remember at the moment. I like everything that happened and happens to this wonderful game and I don't see a way how jeb_, Dinnerbone or whoever should be able to ruin it. Minecraft gets better and better and gets lots of cool features with every update (even though they don't add any useful aspects to the game). And just for my knowledge: What do YOU think should be added to Minecraft?
Sorry I wasn't able to understand this part "Oh, and just pointing it out: You better would like jeb_ and Dinnerbone to bring up their own ideas that nobody wants than the ideas the community thought of and wants?". Could you rewrite that please? And yes I would love for some content that wasn't thought of by the community for once, I'm not saying they shouldn't listen to the community, I'm saying the ideas shouldn't be from the community, as the people coming up with these ideas have no sense of what's realistic to the game, I would also like to see more 'Minecraft' styled textures. It is hard to explain "style" of texturing, but there is a difference in style. Almost as if someone was working on an Rpg texture pack and half way through they decide to switch it to a simplistic pack while keeping the old textures. I don't mind items that are aesthetic once in a while, but if they are just for aesthetic purposes then they should at least look nice, the tripwire hooks look plain.
Sorry, English isn't my native laguage as you might have already noticed: You think it's better if the developers add their own ideas to the game that might be useful and entertaining but none of the players really wants (maybe just because they have better things to do) rather than they are adding things that are not their own ideas but instead are wanted and loved by the players?
I think Minecraft stopped being kind of realistic when Alpha 1.2 was released. It's true that ender chests and magical beacons are not fitting to a realistic setting but luckily Minecraft does not have such a setting. I always saw Minecraft as a fantasy-rpg-like game. Maybe because the first Minecraft series I watched regularly was a let's show about a rpg-like world. Minecraft never felt realistic and in my opinion the new blocks and items do not change the overall look of the game. Of course that's just my two cents.
Okay thanks, but yes I do think it's better that they add their own ideas to the game. I didn't mean that Minecraft was realistic, I said the ideas the community produces for the game honestly aren't something that fits into the game. It is a medieval-sandbox like I've said, I'm all for new content but like I said, the more you rely on blocks to do the work for you, the less you will use your creativity to build something AMAZING.
Yeah I agree its kinda cool. But I know so many little kids who are all over it and obsessed with it and everytime they see it they start freaking out...
I see Notch, Honeydew, PauseUnpause, Generikb, CaptainSparklez, sethbling and citricsquid. The rest I don't recognize.
