OK people to clear some things up, iOS is the iPhone/iPod touch OS. Considering iOS 5 just came out it will be developed for that version this means if your iPhone or iPod Touch would be compatible if they can run iOS 5. Also price will be around $7 like it was for the Android (Google's mobile OS)(Android Page) and don't forget even if your old iPhone can run it, that does not mean it will be lag-less. Check out the Minecraft Pocket Edition Wiki for more info.
Hope this helps
I still don't understand why u would want to play games on the iphone/ipod touch that requires u to press onscreen D-pad. its just not efficient and if u start sweating on ur fingertips it becomes abit unresponsive. Don't hate on me, im a apple guy.
Apparently hating isn't allowed in this forum, so I wouldn't sweat it.
I'm happy since I have an iPod Touch but not an Android phone, but I really hope they don't make it iOS 5 only. I could upgrade, but for some reason they insist that doing so requires that you delete everything, and I don't want to lose saved data for games I already have...
Why didn't they go to iOS first, the iPhone is the most common and popular mobile device... nevertheless it is nice to see this coming to the iOS, will be sure to get it!
It goes the other way around, since iOS came first! :biggrin.gif: iOS' Initial ReleaseJune 29, 2007

Wow, minecraft users are really confused with the mobile device platform. Android is used on tablets like the iPad and has a much larger phone selection on all networks. Plus in the iOS 5 the notification system was just taken from android and put on to the iOS. Also iOS on the iPad has not impressed me it looks like the just took the iPhone and made it larger and forgetting to make thing like the notification center larger.
I....I do hope you ment that Android is used on Tablets SIMILAR to the iPad and you weren't giving the iPad as an EXAMPLE of a tablet that uses android. I'm pretty sure I read that wrong though.
Why would anyone buy it on XBOX? It's a PC game. I'm getting the pocket edition just because it's a pocket edition. Why play a game on your xbox when you can walk 10 feet and play it where it was originally meant to be played - the pc.
What is iOS? Is it something like Android or Symbian?
Yes, it's like Android, but with fewer features and it only works on a very select set of hardware. Its main advantage is that you give up your free will and allow a corporation to decide how you're allowed to use your phone. Also it's shiny.
Does anyone know if this is going to be creative mode only or if they'll include the crafting aspect as well? Mobs?
Hope this helps

An even better reason for me to get an iPad!

Cast aside the fear of reality, face the ****ing world.
