Anvils are really cool, and don't get me wrong, what they can do already is cool... But I kinda was hoping that maybe instead you can actually fix a tool that isn't enchanted, without needing another tool... For example, put a stone pick in the left spot and maybe 1 cobblestone in the right side to completely fix it, and do that but with every tool... Maybe cost would vary with the type of item, being that armor would be too cheap to fix for just 1 piece of the material... But I just expected this being that I don't really like enchantments much... Mostly because why would you want to make your sword magically sharper when you can actually sharpen it?
I see that my idea for repairing tools with 1 of the material has been implemented!

This is a sword that you can legitly get in the game, but you can not repair it no matter what. I was hoping you would be able to do it using the raw materials method newly added, but its still too expensive. Can this please be fixed?

Redstone repeaters can be “locked” (fixed output) by having a powered repeater connected to its left or right side

Loving the changes they're making. I haven't had time to play with the anvil yet (even the old one) but it's my favorite change to enchanting since enchantments were implemented.
I've always wanted to repair enchanted items, and keep the enchantments. Finally we can.
Wha? Why do you even need an anvil in a mode where items are completely useless? You plan to enchant and rename items you did nothing to achieve?
I was thinking exactly this. RS NOR Latches should be able to be much more compact... I must play around with it a bit, Etho style.
