I crash whenever I remove the final letter from names in servers. For example, I delete "Diamond Sword" until it says "D", then I remove the D and the server gets an internal server error. I haven't tested on SP, but it would probably still happen.
The Anvil is cool i suppose, but how exactly will it work? How many diamonds will it take to repair a pick that is on red? Will it cost less to repair the more you repair like MCMMO?
Extremelly useful. Finally, we can change the names of our items in-game & repair them without losing the enchantment, as well as moving an enchantment from a tool onto another one.
Yes but it has limited usage, How come a wooden block (crafting table) has infinite crafting usage, but a block of metal that takes about 52iron ingots to craft is finite.
Its a stupid idea, and is only good for aesthetics. You can repair any of your items free on your 2x2 crafting gui (but lose enchantments) without costing any exp.
Am I the only one annoyed by this idea?

I am with you there. Its a resource Hog.... as your point out, High Iron demand. High Exp Drain, and still must Consume another Equipment to repair an equipment.... , with finite usage as icing on the cake. = not good. =/
Was the Anvil super buggy for anyone else? At first it only appeared to work 1 time out of every few, then I renamed a sword and it completly stopped working.
Are anvils supposed to be able to rename books? Well, they can currently, so if you have a book that you want to change the title of, now is your time to do it!
Awwwwwwwwww, The only let down is those controls involve the F(keys) Haha. My laptop requires me to hold in Fn and tap the F(keys) which is so annoying.
Also the XP for breeding; It definitely should be such a small amount.

Ys -Crying- Why! Why must Sarah die! Why! At least there is still Feena and Reah to guide Adol through his Journey. But... Sarah got turned to stone... That is just plain cruel. Stupid Monsters.
I don't like that the anvil break after a few uses, it should be unbreakable like irl
Anvils aren't invincible. They usually break after 6-12 months of use (Me thinks)

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
now im thinking anvils should be found in the blacksmiths building in villages, after all, he has the forge. now he needs an anvil to do something with.
in most cases you will probably stick to the old 2X2 grid repair, but for that max-level pick or armor you really want to keep or combine if you got junk enchants previous times.
and the high iron cost/low anvil durability is part of thier method to keep people from abusing it.
Time for some creative kills...
I <3 anvils
its already reported as a bug on MinecraftWiki.net
