Minecraft wiki saying they're called enderman? Think for 2.5 secs about what you're saying. Its the wiki. Which Notch is no part of. Nor has he once said anything about the name. The wiki says he did, but there was never an actual confirmation of the name from anyone at mojang. So people can call them slendermen all they want because thats probably where notch got the idea for them anyway

They are called "endermen". They are leaked to be like the NPCs they new patch is going to have so I think they are like them and live in mountain-desert area, in my opinion be an active people but not to be messed with and also like to steal bricks for their buildings. That seems to be the just of everything that has been leaked or rumored.

Tree looks diffrent aswell maybe just a thing with it not being ready but still werid

No almost everyone did. But did you notice that it isn't a tree? It is a giant mushroom. I think giant mushrooms go a bit too far... I dunno but... They don't seem right.
