I heard rumor that the new Mob for Minecraft was gonna be an alien...this saddens me...but at least it's a new Mob? Though it does look a little...derpy
I think they're called Endermen. WIKI: In a Google+ post[, Notch revealed a mob called Enderman. Endermen are depicted as tall, black creatures with long arms and legs, and seem to be able to hold blocks.
The name "Enderman" is derived from the internet phenomenon Slender Man, due to the mob's similar looks. Its name was given by Notch in a Reddit thread.
WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THEY'RE EVIL????? They may be nice, they might only take natural blocks, or they might only pick up dropped blocks. Don't be THAT negative. Maybe they help you, just start thinking about the goof stuff they could do.
I want to know how they can fight.
