Make them fade when they start moving, and fade back in at intervals. They should hover over land, and their legs are somewhat transparent, so they are floating but not flying.
If aggroed, or is hit, they will vanish for a second and reappear later on. They can't harm you when they vanish after being hit and can't take a hit when invisible.
They do aoe damage if your too close and basically stalks you and causes your health to drain 0.5 hearts per second.
Aggroed mobs will all aggro you like a pack.
Fire can be the best weapon against them.
If they are dark or shadow, then light or fire is best to counter them...
Maybe these mobs should ONLY be out at night, or extremely dark places?
Give them a ai so they don't remain in any area with a certain level of light.
In fact, they are smart enough to avoid walking into the radius of torches, and will stare at you...
But then again, it would make this mob into a drastically different thing.
i think that that isnt actually the mob. i think it's herobrine's skeleton as a mob, and notch is jsut testing out the idea of illuminated eyes and block movement before the full skinning.
