And, mentioning that, they either:

3.Build civilizations O_O
4.Or, mentioning they look like rubber, are flexible, and can stretch their arms at you as an attack. Long range, like the skellies.
Yup, all in all, they're creepy as hell.

No! they do not grief! they probably just pick up light weighted blocks like sand or dirt as shown in the pictures.

It's Slenderman. That's explains the strange colored screenshots at the bottom.

They seem to pick up blocks, and throw them at an enemy. Maybe they'll be hostile. If so, I'll call them Shadow Thieves.
