looks like a shadow monster or something maybe its the new scary monster "shadow"

Wow that's terrifying! What do they do, tear apart your buildings one block at a time? Or do they learn to work together on one house?

Okay this is confusing. One, they look like squids. Second, the first thing notch made that is crazy is the creeper. Third, it looks like it can break blocks. I might be in the wrong note here but that is.... HILARIOUS.

There's one holding grass too. Maybe they're a new NPC, just looking a bit less humanoid. They must be gathering supplies for their homes.

in the enhanced i see 6 of them and 2 have blocks??? i think they can steal blocks imagine what if you just shelterd yourself from some creepers then one of these guys just steals a peice of your wall tsssss... BOOM!

I think because one of them is holding a block that they may be the hostile villagers.

I bet they're just electrified Squids... WHATS NEXT!!!??!??!? electrified sheep... Evil office clerks that pee in the toilets you've made!!

I hope that isn't their final texture, it looks like a model with a black paintbucket texture.

i read the wiki they can hold and steal items and in the second shot it looks like a new tree.

Day One: I've just landed on the planet, fresh for colonization. Its ecology is nearly identical to that of Earth. The only thing that was missing was sentient, cognitive inhabitants. At least, that's what we thought until just recently. With the discovery of the planet's natural inhabitants I can't help but wonder if human colonies could bring about a negative effect. But my fears are assuaged by the fact that my wave of colonization, the first on this planet, is spread thin, and the natives don't seem to want to acknowledge our presence. Tomorrow I attempt contact in the hope that we can get along with these tribally organized people without disturbing their natural rise of civilization.

Ones holding sand and ones holding dirt... could it be possible they're, like, shadows of the npc's that are coming out? Idk, im just guessing.
