Their eyes are stark white and they have semi-humanoid body shapes. This is a quote from the wiki: "Notch has decided against adding Herobrine. However, the fact that 'as is' suggested that something like Herobrine may be added, fuelling beliefs he will be added even further." in reference to this tweet from Notch: "i have no plans of adding herobrine as is, but I do like the rumors, haha" Given that, I would think it'd stand to reason that these new mobs may be Notch's method of adding a Herobrine-like mob to the game since this bears many similarities but is not Herobrine outright. I'll bet they even stand just far enough away from the player to make them blend into the fog on tiny render distance.

I doubt I'm the first to notice but there is another one in the background holding a dirt block so maybe they can move things like sand, dirt and gravel and maybe more.
If they turn out to be hostile (I bet they are neutral), I hope they are at least given some limitations on what kind of blocks they can destroy; e.g. only weaker blocks such as clay, sand, dirt, snow etc. I don't want a whole army of these creepy bastards dismantling my castle *shudder*.
Maybe they're the mysterious people who build the world of minecraft. I don't know if anyone caught this yet but the dirt block being held by that one thing in the back still has the grass on it.
Now this... is terrifying. I wonder how they attack...
