Just read at Notch's Blog "The psychology of the reticle and the feeling of control"... When I started I was afraid of Creepers, and from Skeletons at distance; now the're just an annoyance, but these things... they evoke fear in my mind again after reading about their behavior.
Dude one on the left is holding sand! and one on the right is holding grass!!!
What if the mobs are learning! first they figure out how to break blocks, then they learn how to build, next thing you know, they build a castle nearby your house and start aking tools to destroy your house! Plus they look Terrifying!!! D:
looks ace but im scared of it trying to steal my house :/ lol after you look at them they stair at u until you look away AAAAAAAAA lol and they can teleport!!
Read notchs blog! They won't attack you untill you look at them! When you put your cursor on them they will slowly look at you, Then when you take your cursor away he said they will move after and attack you (VERY FAST) And if you get to far away they will teleport to you, to make it worse he said they will try to teleport infront of you!
Ok heres what notch said if you didn't see it yet D:
but as soon as your in game character looks straight at them, boom.
Still, that was more scary than creepy. It’s like a jump scare in a movie. You know it might happen at any time, and when it happens you freak out a bit. I wanted something a bit more psychological. So to really drive home the point of looking at them being bad, I made the Endermen freeze and turn towards you when you look at them. As long as you look straight at them, they stand perfectly still and look straight at you. As soon as you look away, they will run (very fast) towards you.
And they teleport. If they’re too far away to reach you in a short period of time, they will teleport about once per second. They try to make sure they always teleport to somewhere you can see, as I don’t want to confuse the player as to what is happening.
Knowing Me, I'll look at an Enderman, walk back slowly, hear a "ssssssssss", Turn around and find a creeper at the bottom of an incredibly deep hole. I'll forget about the Enderman, then remember him. I'd turn around and see the Enderman with a Trollface. He'd then do whatever to kill me brutally XD
I've always been interested in notch's game design ideas. They might be able to just pick up blocks that are generated and not blocks player has placed.
I love the new mob. It's gonna be creepy.
