Cool! A new, unexpected snapshot! Sure it's small, but good going Mojang.
Funny how CaptainSparklez went over a "useful" lighting bug. Me, I wouldn't ever use it.

Am I the only one freaking the hell out over Jack-O-Lanterns? I kind of depend on them for lighting. I have tons of Glowstone but I like to use Jack-O-Lanterns because ;
1.) Overuse of Glowstone and Redstone lamps makes them feel less special
2.) Glowstone is fragile (one errant click and I have a hole in my lighting and three glowstone dust on my hands)
3.) Redstone lamps have their own problems namely that a.) using them underwater is tricky because all of the blocks that can power them aren't waterproof and b.) Out-of-water they require extra space to activate.
We need more lighting options. Not fewer. At the absolute minimum I'd want a configuration option somewhere to make jack-o-lanterns act like they did before this update.
edit: Obviously I could use a mod but modding something so basic just feels wrong.
I tried to go into the nether on a server. The frame rate was so non-existant I had to End Task the game. The server admin tried it and estimated he got 1 frame every 10 seconds.
Why do they overhaul the light system? What's wrong with the current one?
Are you serious? The current lighting system is horrible. Stairs don't let light through correctly. Pistons allow light through even though they're solid. There are whole sections of the map that are pitch black forever and then suddenly pop into being lit. And those are just the highlights.
Why do we have something so simple and pure like a creeper face, and then THIS thing?
I'm SO sorry, but the character design on the witch is forgettable. Should look nothing like a Villager. Needs to look more monster like IMO. More Female too. If you have to work with what you have. Lower the hat to eye level. Get rid of that floppy penis nose, maybe make it pointy. Reskin the face, add arms, and maybe a broom stick. This would make it more interesting.
What do you mean by tiny? I think the snapshot is a huge fix more than anything! Especially for that lighting fix, meaning no more black blocks randomly, which used to be really annoying.
I believe he meant that it does not include new content, mostly bug fixes, which are important.
I won't say anything now but ill leave a clue..
Spider dungeons just got intrusting..
Aw c'mon man, post a seed at least D:

• High lag in the nether when moving (seems like a lot of lag to load chunks)
• Maps (and perhaps other items) in item frames change brightness when I open my inventory and mouse over an item
• Strange nether lighting behavior:

After: http://i.imgur.com/yHveZ.png
• Lighting bug with all slabs and stairs. Have to update the chunk by placing a block to fix.

But maybe I'm expecting too much of people haha.
I still want to see something new on the terrain. Preferably, something good.

the same with my server reverted back to 12w38b.
No, now is the time for people to complain that there's nothing good in the update, just a lot of bug fixes.
