Have you noticed how, yet again, the minecraft developers have stolen content from a mod?
The "mob" heads were originally created by Jammy780 in the mod found here:
Sorry but i couldn't hold to argue with you, since baby animals and breeding came to minecraft, jeb and dinnerbone have been using reddit threads and player suggestions to put items in minecraft. Just to make it a more enjoyable game. They just made what we told them. On the legal side, they don't ''Steal'' the mods , if you ever read the mod making conditions thread you will notice that ALL the mods belong to mojang. Correct me if im wrong.
Waaaah! They stole from a mod!
(next update)
Waaaah! They added something lame when they could have put in this cool stuff from these mods!

Just shut up and enjoy the game. If Mojang sucks as bad as you say they do, you should stop playing their game and go support a company you prefer. We'd all benefit from your absence.

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Has anyone actually found carrots or potatos growing in a jungle yet? I have searched 3 very large ones , even going back and breaking grass and bushes , then burning them down , and have yet to find one of either...
Nope, but I am playing the snapshot on my regular single player survival, not sure if it would update an already created world like that or not?
To those who asked if wearing the heads as helmets really does make you "neutral" to that mob: NO. It does NOT. Tested with both creeper and skeleton heads.
Looks great, although i do find it quite disturbing, that minecraft is going to look a bit to ''not minecrafty'' style. the reason i say so, is that i find that all the new blocks and stuff are a bit to much. but that's just my opinion
You probably said the same thing when they added villages and RPG stuff.... Now your fine with it. In 6 months time youll be fine with all the stuff being added now... It might seem new now but later it will feel just like how pistons, RPG stuff, etc, feels now..

Oh I just saw someone on reddit said that it does, and they showed pics of it too...
I am not speaking for Jammy, but I am speaking as a mod developer and I realize the time and effort that it takes to put this kind of stuff together. If there is something I've put hundreds of hours worth of work trying to develop (that is a modest estimate for almost any mod worth mentioning and calling a "popular mod"... some mods have taken literally thousands of hours to develop), I at least want to get some sort of acknowledgement if some of that is being copied by somebody else... including by Mojang.
No, I'm not going to get over this. You and others say I shouldn't talk legal mumbo jumbo, but the fact is that laws do require this kind of acknowledgement too and if this isn't dealt with in an honest and caring manner can erupt into a legal mess that will make everything associated with modding to get ugly.
Some acknowledgement has happened to mod developers in the past where their content was incorporated into the game. I'm just asking for consistency when it happens again. As for if Jammy was the first person to come up with mounting heads on posts or on the wall of various creatures you have slain, I haven't done a proper survey of previous mods to find out. What I do know is that it is a currently active mod that is used by a great many players, and as far as I can tell the only mod which does something like that besides this new content that was just added.
lol your legal grounds are a joke, you do not own the copyright to the materials being "stolen" in fact you agreed to the terms that Mojang has provided. your argument that they have to acknowledge the modders creation is fallacious. they did not take the Mods programming and implement it into the game. They simply, from scratch, create code for it themselves. So to claim they have stolen someones idea is not going to work here, as even if they got an idea from a forum that they own, they still had to turn this idea into useable code, using their own creativity to make it happen. It's time to take legal action or its time to get off your soap box, I will be watching the news for your legal case, albiet a swift process.

Exactly this.
The things I like the most (Villagers, food, enchanting*) are all things like this. I hope the trend continues
*Though I'd like it to be a bit more reliable as to what you get.
Just a few things I noticed off the bat,
-No more adventure mode (???)
-Stone Slab Block (Looks Very Nice)
-Multiple Leaf Blocks and Shrubs of the Same Type (?)
I apologize if any of these were already found out, I just wanted to share what I saw.
Just wondering if anyone else noticed this bug or not (I call it a bug as I haven't been able to confirm whether or not it really is one, and you'll se what I mean as you read on.), but on a world of mine I just recently started before this snapshot came out (I live in a shack still), I was in my mine 1 layer above bedrock, with a nearby cave. All of a sudden the ambient noises of the cave were joined with the noises of a Nether Portal. The Nether Portal noises were faint though, indicating it to be some distance away. Now, I haven't found the cave as this just happened and I came to post, and I haven't built a Nether Portal (and don't plan to for a while). Pherhaps what's nearly impossible happened and water and lava just so happened to generate in a way (maybe with the help of fallen gravel too) that the lava made a Nether Portal shape and was turned to Obsidion by water? Offcourse, this is nearly impossible, so likely its a noise bug. Do tell me if this happened to you please. I'm interesting in knowing more about it. I'd post to the Wiki but for some reason it won't let me make an account, so I can't add the bug to the snapshot's bug list. :/

That sounds like a good strategy
