The chest carts have a huge graphical glitch. The chest is up and on the edge of the cart.
Also the engine carts cant push anything...Even on flat ground.. With coal etc. It is working because as soon as i remove the carts in front of it it goes on its own...
Burning anything in the furnace doesnt crash my computer on multiplayer or single (and im playing on a bad labtop).
Sprinting doesnt run me through chests(single or multiplayer).
However, on multiplayer, enderman arent hostile.
I did, however, get a small glitch where I couldnt move anything into the quick bar at the bottom on creative mode but it disappeared when I made a new world.
One, the biomes are much larger, which is nice, but sometimes they're so ridiculously large that you have to walk for ages to get out of one. I used the seed "Mojang", and it spawned me in an absolutely gigantic taiga, and it took 2 days worth of walking in the same direction and near constant speed to get out of it. I like bigger biomes, but sometimes it can be too much. Also, where's the snow?
Second, the game absolutely hemorrhages memory. In my 1.7.2 (I still like duping items), I had the occasional lag, but nothing that wouldn't go away after a few seconds. It certainly wasn't irritating. In the 1.8 pre-release, the lag spikes are literally so bad they make the game unplayable. They're absolutely debilitating. I even nerfed my graphics quality below what I use in 1.7.2, and I even used my task manager to set Minecraft's CPU usage to high priority. Even after ending every other non-essential process, the game barely managed 10 fps. Every 10 or so seconds, the lag would spike and drop the fps to 1. Clearly, something in the 1.8 pre-release is causing this lag.
Apart from that, the new blocks look nice, and the Endermen are scary as hell. The vines and giant mushrooms are awesome, and the fence gate works wonderfully. I especially like the glass panes.
I still haven't managed to find any villages, ruins, or strongholds. I did manage to find a few ravines, and with them, several abandoned mineshafts. One thing I didn't like about the mineshafts was that on some occasions, some arches would be floating in air, or in general they looked like they didn't belong. Something needs to be changed about the way mineshafts are spawned, and village/ruin spawn rates need to be increased.
Whenever I put coal in my furnace, minecraft crashes. Random crashings too. When I was mining it went to a screen saying saving chunks and then became a black screen, and would not change until i exited minecraft.
When a friend dies in SMP, his experience takes forever to consume, a friend died next to me and I've been frozen with experience swirling around me for 30+ minutes so far. Lags the entire server.
With the outstanding response from the community on the pre-release of 1.8 (you have downloaded it, haven't you?), we've set up a special page on the wiki where the bugs you find should be reported. This will give Mojang a specific all-inclusive place to look and fix them.
Lighting is glitched on repeaters. The lighting doesn't look right when there isn't a torch adding direct light, with the top being darker than the side. With the addition to the obvious problem with the repeater on the left. The lighting on the right one still looks wrong even with direct light.
I have a couple of 1.8 pre-release bugs to report, but apparently I can't edit the wiki. So I would appreciate it if someone who know they can edit the wiki helped me out and added these:
Under "Chests placed in a world created before 1.8 may appear to be a black box.", it should be added that the same happens to paintings.
Also chests that have been placed in the world before the update, has in addition to turning black turned around 90 or 180 agrees. So chests that used to face into the room either face the wall, stick out from the wall (half the chest burried in the wall) or sticking out into the room.
There is also apparently rain bug, where rain goes through the roof and floors of a house. The house where this happened had cobblestone roof and sandstone floor, and the rain penetrated everything.
When traveling into unexplored territory on the surface, at one point there was a boarder accross the water where the water level seem to have dropped down one block.
Вода не течёт, не открываются двери,не закрываются двери,ломаются блоки,нельзя есть печеньку,лава не убивает,проваливаюсь сквозь текстуры,не ставятся блоки.
Well im not sure if this is intentional but i looked at that enderman and he acted as normal and teleported to me. But i was near some river.ocean area and as soon as he touched the water he took damage and eventually died. Just felt i should say somthing
there seems to be a bug were the spawn point changes in a server. I spawned one place, and after some time later my friend logged on and spawned in a completely different area
possibly a lighting error? since it crashes when it starts, and stops smelting.
Hope the link works. Im new to posting.

That's not a bug... That's a suggestion. I'll see if I can get someone to pass the message to notch though.
