when i put sand, and after the coal in the furnace, it jumped to a strange unfocused "saving chunks" screen, then crashed. upon reopening the game, it was normal and smelting
With the outstanding response from the community on the pre-release of 1.8 (you have downloaded it, haven't you?), we've set up a special page on the wiki where the bugs you find should be reported. This will give Mojang a specific all-inclusive place to look and fix them.
Here's a SERIOUS problem: Some friends and I were playing on a server I run and one of us die. The problem is that when he died all of his xp orbs were released onto the world. He didn't even reach a high level, or try to, he just casually killed when he needed some food. The extreme amount of entities equated to an extreme amount of lag. So much so that the server was not even playable. I was able to fix the problem by opening the world in a map editor and delete all of the entities around where he died. A simple fix would be to have it so that when someone dies their xp orbs dropped are a standard amount like a chicken's or any other mob, or they drop the amount of xp gained after the last level gain.
Here is a minor/obvious bug: Endermen don't attack, or work properly on the server.
ok i m pretty sure that every time you use a furnace the game will freeze, and at times i get random save crashes where it'll just freeze on the save game screen
I think i found a bug but when ever you press F6 you seem to speed up the sun and moon and when you press F7 you slow it down dont know what the deal is with that
When crafting an Item; and you walk away, two items drop, but only one can be picked up, leaving the other to float about. this leaves a dupe ie have 2-3 iron bars in your invitory place one in your work bench the back out.
now move your iron bars to a new invitory spot. it will become unlimited
On my SMP server, rain seems to fall through multiple layers of blocks. It isn't a client chunk loading error, as other players can see it too. It also doesn't go throught specific buildings, but random ones.
Cave Spiders are op, perhaps make a craftable antidote to stop the poisoning asap? An antidote inwhich the ingredients can be found by . . . killing a cave spider? Mwahaha?
