So a few things I found (and may have already been posted by someone else):
You can no longer "Hold left/right click to spam attack/place block". Meaning when you block-jump (placing a block under you as you stack your way up) you have to click it for each time you place. Same when attacking mobs. You have to click for every "swing".
Mountain Biomes. I'm sure most know of it already but there may have been some who missed the info on it. Very well done. The Mountain Biome is very "epic". Very big (almost mammoth like) in size. Did they increase height limit??
Massive Ravines both from the surface and underground. Meaning their are Ravines that have ceilings and have multiple tunnels connecting. Underground Ravines can also generate next to other Underground Ravines. Very very amazing to see.
Multiple light sources. Besides the normal day-night lighting being improved other light source "blocks" also give off, supposedly, unique light sources. Only one I've seen personally has been the torch that gives off a white light on the block right next to the torch and then an orange hue spreading to further blocks. Makes it VERY moody. Haven't seen glowstone or jack o lanterns but Im guessing they'll have different hues of lighting (or maybe not)
So far the only things I found that may not have been brought up frequently.
notch come on, all i want is to be able to transfer my survival world to creative to give myself slimeballs thats it, and i can only have either creative OR survival world, will i be able to change from survival to creative on my special world? also where are mob spawners huh, what if people want to make their own dungeons. plz notch plz
yes my desktop cant play 1.8 either it is extremely slow I'm not sure what happened because the first generated world was fine but after that it was horrible in survival (first was creative) and when i did another creative it was still insanely laggy it gives me headaches to play cause i can point at things so i'm mostly looking randomly around
fast forwarding time should only be for creative why do we even need a bed for survival anymore :huh.gif:
I'm going to assume he is going to take that feature out in the official build, I think it was only to quickly go to night time, or day time to test bugs with different mobs, and lighting. It just makes a simpler bug testing approach
if you left click with a sword it moves into a block position. idk if this has been mentioned but i just found it. does anyone know which button to sprint?
While the hunger bar is kind of neat, the irritating part is where when it's empty, your life drains. It kinda turns the game into the bad part of Shinobi, having to constantly kill in order to not die. Maybe it'd be nicer if it did something else and not kill you.

A double resolution graphics pack that stays faithful to the originals.
Replanted them, they grew back just fine.
Finally I can have reeds in my sandy oases!

Double tap W to sprint. Watch out, uses your food meter.
*Sugar Cane now grows on Sand
*Mushrooms are common in Swamp Biomes
*Clay is somewhat more common now
