AAARGH, evil furnace just crashed my game and ate my coal

just wanna say for those who were wondering why he made holding right click not continue placing, I think it may have been to avoid double placement, something that I (a user with a slightly shitty computer) suffered from all the time and lost at least a stack of glass to in my day.

about the endermen making zombie sounds, it's not a bug, but it's not always going to be that way. I'm not sure if you know, but the sounds for the game are in the resources file in your .minecraft. Since this didn't come with the resources file they can't make their own noises.

Whoa, I just discovered something interesting. If you right-click the ground with bone meal, it grows a bunch of tall grass! Also, small bubbles/particles occur naturally underwater.

Particles are new, grass-thing is not new to 1.8

And if you right-click a mushroom with bone meal, giant mushroom

2 things. large mushrooms heads have a chance of dropping a mushroom of that type, and Bedrock now gives off a particle effect when you are close to it (never saw one before so I'm assuming it's new)

go to roaming/.mincraft/bin delete your .jar and put that one

Well, I've just read through all 34 pages, and I must say this sounds exciting! Although, the large biomes making it hard to find certain types sounds slightly annoying, and also, the draining of health from an empty food bar will probably **** me off, since I'm no good at fighting monsters currently in 1.7.3.

At least there's beef and chicken nao!

I wonder if old worlds will be able to be updated correctly in the full release..

are there empty NPC villages in the pre release i havent been able to find any??
other than that i havent found any bugs that havent already been mentioned

This may sound a little whiny, but It seems kind of out of place to change the time of day/night in SURVIVAl mode, but im sure theyll just move it somewhere else.
