Am i the only one who HATES the size of the biomes now? I had to delete my world because I couldnt DO anything in it. I set up my base, acquired some stuff, and then decided to explore. Well on 3 sides of the Swamp biome i started in, there was an ocean that took more than a whole minecraft day to sail across. I sailed each direction for a whole day and didnt see any trace of land. On the one remaining border of my Swamp, there was a Desert. A huge desert. It took one minecraft day and then some to walk across. And it ended in..... another Ocean. So basically it would have taken me at least an hour to transport all my goods in multiple trips to a new biome. Depending on your world, you could be hours away from anything interesting it seems. The new biomes are just HUGE! Too huge.
Hey guy's I might have a bug (maybe).........Well I was fighting a enderman and a creeper blows up behind me and BOOM instadeath(I had full hearts and leather helmet).
Guys, the only reason it laggs so badly is because this is a PRE-RELEASE, AKA This is a copy of 1.8 with basically all the bugs still in it. It is laggy for this reason, because it is not the TRUE release of it, you can't expect it to run flawlessly yet. When 1.8 is ACTUALLY released it will not be this laggy I expect...
For people having trouble, place the newly downloaded file in the Minecraft Bin folder!
Everything seems to be great in the pre-release, however I hope in the update they allow you to change the sprinting controls preasing 'W' twice is awfull in my opinion. It would be best if SPRINT was 'LSHIFT' and SNEAK was 'C' (like in most PC games).
Gameplay:
You spawn on grass instead of sand.
No fog (maybe temporary).
Options screen:
You can adjust the FOV (field of view).
You can change the mouse sensitivity.
You can invert the mouse.
You can change the brightness (in video settings).
Controls screen:
There is an attack button (left click by default).
There is a use item button (right click by default).
There is a list players button.
Sorry if something has been said before.
I'll post more as I find them.
Don't try installing this with Hughesnet. Minecraft isn't installing at all now. Or should I say, it isn't working. Now I cannot get minecraft working, although before I installed 1.8 it was running at 120 FPS, highest.
I hate the fact that eating doesn't insta heal you. And I think the food bar should go down faster when you're healing, like Half a heart healed = Half a foodbar taken
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! But the chests are buggy. At first they're black, then they flash between its color in daylight and at dawn.

fairly sure I blocked a few arrows from a skeleton earlier.
if not, that skeleton had some TURRRIBLE aim.
