I need help. When I install the snapshot my Minecraft screen freezes on the updating Minecraft Screen and just stays at, "Done Loading." Anyone know why?
For all the people who are posting hate about the new experience system: 1) There are many ways to "experience" the world besides combat. Minecraft has finally joined the ranks of games that understand this. 2) As this is a snapshot, the experience levels are not final. Mining and Smelting levels will be balanced in the official release, and so will the xp requirements for certain enchantments. 3) Level 30 only seems like a low cap to the people who are used to building elaborate grinding machines to do the work for them. This wasn't the intended way to get experience, and if you try to get to level 30 only through fighting naturally spawned mobs, you may realize that level 50 was a bit high.
Thanks for hearing my thoughts on the subject!

now all we need is lvl 30?, jeb think that all minecraft players are stupid, retarded or have 5 years old?, this is stupid... if some people have problems to reach lvl 50 is because they are to stupid or lazy to find the way to do it, that's all.
Why isn't there an adventure mode gamemode in the new world screen?
Also you should've added in the changelog that pressing a key when not in search mode (in the creative inventory), it no longer goes to search mode.
If the game is busted, it would hardly be a stable release. That is what a "snapshot" is all about... so you can take a peek at upcoming features, report bugs, and hopefully get the game ready for a stable release. Mojang could simply call this current snapshot a "major release", but it would be unstable as hell and you would likely be among the first of the people complaining that it ate your world file, crashes every ten minutes, or some other lame excuse of a problem.
Jeb knows what he is doing. We don't need unstable and buggy software that claims to be in a release state being pushed out each week. Get a little bit of patience and understand what is going on.
The alternative is not more frequent buggy updates, the alternative is simply having Mojang hide in the dark and only push out a major release, with likely a bunch of bugs and changes that you don't like, happening about once or twice a year.
This week's Snapshot has a massive number of features! In addition to trading updates, enchantment improvements and SSP/SMP merging improvements, Adventure Map makers will be thrilled to know that there is a new game mode - "Adventure Mode" - to be tested! This mode prevents players from breaking blocks, while still allowing interactions like button/lever use, trading with villagers, and so on. The full feature list is below!
