Sorry it took so long to respond to this, it took me forever to refind my post.
Two cool forum tips:
1) At the top right of the page, to the right of your user name is a little circular icon that looks like a gear. Hover over it and a dropdown will come up. Click "My content." That's every thread you've ever posted in, in reverse order (newest first).
2) Near the top of the page, just above the list of forum posts, again on the right find "New Content." Click it, and you'll get new posts. On the left side of this page, you can filter with some interesting options, including "Items I participated in" which lists EVERY thread that has new posts, that you've at some point posted in.
These are 2 great ways to keep up with threads in a busy forum like this one.

Thank you, I'm still learning. Now, if I could just figure out a solution between the motion sickness and the lag-i-ness (because apparently lagginess isn't a word.. T_T), am I the only one to notice this? it also seems like some settings aren't what they used to be, like my bright setting, if I play on 1.2.5, it was a lot brighter compared to what I'm playing now on 1.3.1 I can't tell if it's just me or if anyone else notice these problems. Personally, I love playing Minecraft, been at it since approx 1.7.3 days, and I am blind in one eye, so all my focus is concentrated through one eye, which makes playing most games very difficult, I was surprise and happy to find that I could play in a 3d world without too many issues, and then this update happened and I'm back to square one... now it's the choice between getting sick, or allowing my viewers suffer with the lags. T_T I wish through these updates, WE'D have the option of what WE'D like to add or not add, so many complain about specific features, it would be nice if we had the option, like for one I can't play on anything more difficult than peaceful, but I need to get specific items somehow, (ex: bone meal for farms just for the sake of farms :P).
I can honestly say I love the idea of gaining experience via mining and smelting and all that, but for those that don't like it, I think it would be a great idea to have the option of what can and can not be allowed in one's own game play, including what mobs, what settings work best for their own computers/laptops (for those that have issues with the new FPS rates now, everyone has a different set up, so it would be nice to say, "you can switch back and forth between this versions settings and this version's settings to find which works best for you", how one gains experience, how one would like to deal with food/hunger issues or not, even if they are or are not on any particular difficulty, To have so many choices is what makes the game play so great, to have the endless rein of choices in one own's game play would probably make this the ultimate, best game anyone could ever want to play. But that's just my opinion.
Just wanted to step in about the "brightness problem" you mentioned.
(IE: It is darker in game now, than before.)
I too have noticed this, I always run on "moody's point" though. I also notice, if you hit "F1" (To remove the HUD) the "new darkness" goes away. Well, until the HUD comes back
PS: Been playing the new snapshot, lookin' tasty! (I know 'tis not topic, but I had mucho nay-saying so I thought I would throw in a happy hiatus)
Also, congrats on the 7mill sales Mojang Score +10 for "Mom and Pop" Score -10 to the corporate greed!
PS: Mojang counts as a "Mom and Pop" to me, since they are not a big ass nasty beast of a company....yet
