Ok, new to the forums, and trying to figure this bug out. I will try to do some reasding and researching and start finding answers in the future, but for now.... When I install steps, they are upside down, was not having this problem before the update. Is this a known problem or related to something else? I haven't seen anyone else post it on this thread. And most importantly, is there a fix?

It matters where you aim.
If you aim at the "ceiling" or "upper walls" of the target cube, the stairs go upside down. If you aim at the "Floor" or "lower walls" of the target cube, the stairs go rightside up. This also works for slabs: They are placed in the top half or bottom half of the target cube depending on where you click.
I disagree. Thanks to this new feature, I can now play in a server with my friends. Some people don't have the money and/or technology to have a normal server.
Download bukkit, install, copy world to bukkit, share ip with friends... play? It's not that much more difficult, it doesn't require technology or funds in any way.
I noticed while riding in a boat that the player has two sets of legs: one sitting like normal, the other set sticking straight down through the boat as if I was standing. Anyone else notice this? (press F5)
So am I the only one with an issue about the new commands in single player? In my 1.2.5 created worlds, I get the bar, and I get the chat, but I can't use any commands. But when I downloaded a custom map to play, everything worked fine. And I can't even create a new world cause Minecraft runs out of memory, even though I only have my one main world and my new one I tried to make. Help?

"commands" are actually labeled as "cheats" in the game. When you create a new world, there's an option to enable "cheats" and if you don't, you can't use commands. Old worlds have cheats off.
There's a trick to turn them on. Open your world to LAN, and enable cheats there. They'll work until you exit the world and go back in (because LAN mode will end).

Thanks. I'll try it. Any suggestions on not being able to create a new world?
I'm sorry that I have to bring this up, and I couldn't find anywhere useful to point this out. When I played the older versions, I could play for hours on end, no problem... But this update, I don't know why, is giving me immense motion sickness... I can't even play it for 20 mins... I have all the settings to bare min. as I always do, and it still feels like it's lagging or skipping around, I also feel like some of the options don't change at all, like the brightness seems to be the same no matter what setting I have it on... what is it that I'm doing wrong? Is there a way to set it up to move about like 1.2.5 without losing all the great adds? Please help, I'm doing Let's Plays, and I can't even play for days because of this. T_T

No, that one I've never seen/heard of. Maybe submit a crash report to the wiki?
