Not sure if anyone's found this yet, but if lightning strikes an object and it catches on fire, the flame won't go out, but it also won't hurt the player or mobs.
Destroying the block will destroy the fire, but if you place a block in the same place, the fire will reappear.
Closing and re-opening the game seems to remove the leftover fire.
I've been having "Failed to Launch" for the new update. I've tried completely deleting my whole mine craft and downloading a new one for my Mac. nothing is working, it won't let me update or force update. help. me. please!
Has anyone else noticed that about half of the signs on a 1.2.5 multiplayer server updated to 1.3 randomly go blank? Happened to me, in one specific room and nowhere else. They weren't broken & replaced, its a whitelisted server & only trusted players are allowed on.

They do in fact work at Mojang, you should consider getting up to date. It happened around a month ago, I may be wrong with that time period. If so please correct me.
Yeah guys, the reason that your FPS is lower now, is because it is running a server in the background... Long awaited, but good job.
I played for a while and then started getting terrible stuttering and "lag" in SSP.. wonder if that is the culprit as well.. made the game unplayable. shame cause I really wanted to try the new stuff.
LOL! I found that, in the end, if you are in creative (maybe survival as well) and you anger an enderman, the enderdragon will attack them! It was so funny watching them get flown off the side XD
Nope. It seemed to increase for me, but I also did update my graphics card and upgrade some parts on my pc, but usually I got like 70 - 100 with all graphics at high on 1.2.5 but on low I got like 125, now on 1.3, I get 160 - 200 at the highest on high graphics so I'm pretty stoked.
Its been, what, 6 months since the last release? And all we get are bug fixes and a feature ripped from mods (Ender Chest)? Bug fixes that somehow caused even more bugs...
I can understand people's excitement, but this isn't the process we were promised when we spent money on the game. The most game-changing thing added since the game's official release almost a year ago is jungles. We bought this game half-completed, they took our money promising a whole and complete game with features they will probably never add.
I'm not unhappy, but I certainly won't be praising a group who clearly abandoned their project in favor of making money elsewhere. This herd mentality of "every comment is joy" while being nearly spat on by the devs doesn't make me feel like singing Beetles tunes, that's for sure.
I hope Notch is setting aside most of his money, I don't think he will have this kind of luck again with any of his side-projects and the MC well will run dry.
Just think: They spent all this time trying to release a more efficient and stable game while Optifine and similar teams have been on the job putting out damn-near weekly releases to squeeze out the best from a cluster**** rendering system.
Eh... you should read the full changelog. That little snippet up top seems to be for those who installed prereleases and has little to do with the incredibly massive number of changes for those of us who ignore all the prereleases.
OMG guys they are DEFINITELY doing something with herobrine... in almost every update if u read the log it says
