I just don't understand how they can come out with an actual release date for a console release for the KINECT when the games still in beta. It's like saying "I'll give you that new truck...as soon as I build it right...if I can"

I play on both PC and Xbox. This being said, I'm glad minecraft is coming to 360. A lot of my friends don't have money to buy a new computer to play minecraft with, so them getting it on the 360 is a way for me to play with them. Also saying you are leaving minecraft simply because it is being ported out? Come on how old are you guys. The responses in this thread make the community look so bad. The PC and 360 version will be on separate servers most likely. So how will griefing get worse?

It's a damn shame to see how hateful a community can be to another one just because their beloved game is now on other platforms. Lemme address a few points:
*People think that Minecraft being on the Xbox360 will slow updates down? The Minecraft team can do what Valve does for their games; keep PC games updated as normal and Xbox360 updates come later in bigger chunks since Microsoft has some rules about free stuff and DLC.
*Griefers? EVERY game has em. End of story. Don't act like griefing is something exclusive to a platform or game.
*If you look at the major demographic for the Xbox360, do you really think those kind of people would be interested in a game like Minecraft? I'm predicting that only casual players will take a look at it so don't get your panties in a bunch that Minecraft is being invaded by Halo and CoD fanboys.

generalizations are a way of life my friend. Just like to say that I paid about $650 for all my computer parts and I have a higher scale computer too. Anyone could probably get a great computer for around $450-600. Unless you get really frugal and buy a super old used 360 or the 4GB one you're gonna be spending $300+ for a 360. When you say your friends are too poor to buy a computer it doesn't make much sense that they would feel more comfortable spending hundreds on a game console that will be outdated in 4 years. A computer can last a decade easily if you get the right parts. Computer's are for a lot more than just games, they can do just about anything you want them to do.
Obviously I understand that sometimes the 360 has better games than the PC, but if your really poor it's a much better idea to save for a good computer which can help you with lots of things in life AND have some good games than spending it on a game console that like I said will be dead in 4 years.
Ps3 deserves Minecraft so much more than Xbox. Xbox has been getting everything good, while PS3

In a brief statement made by Phil Spencer, during the Xbox Kinectpress conference at E3 it was announced that Minecraft will be launching exclusively on Xbox Kinect this winter.
The game, based on the images shown at the press conference, retains its classic graphics style. One huge reveal for the console port, however, is that it's coming complete with Kinect functionality.
This looks to be a big week for Minecraft, as the mobile version will be demoed on the Xperia Play during the E3 Expo as well.

I play on a pc, and it is not cheap to stay up with the current times. I play on the 360 more because of it. That being said I love the PC more for gaming because of the mods, but when it comes down to afford-ability the consoles win.

You are acting way to immature, even though you claim to be a "creative, more mature pc player". In my opinion a true gamer can appreciate all the consoles and respect the people who play them.

Different dev team on the xbox version. that means PC edits will continue, i don't know why people thought they would stop. You guys are making a mountain out of a molehill, as my teacher would say. I wont buy it. But i am not against it.
Since it's not just a "copy source here" this will slow down the development of the game a lot. Notch, I'm really disappointed. This was a really bad move.And if you want the game to be on consoles that much, you should add it to all consoles, not exclusive to the xbox.
