I love how everone is hating... Just because its going to other systems doesnt change anything for us... We still can play just now so can consoles... and the reason its Kinect is because they liked the Kinect mod for the PC... and since PS3 doesnt hav anything like Kinect(I kno they hav that Move thing) they didnt put it on Playstation... But Haters gonna hate...
I'm gonna guess "no" on both counts. It's difficult to implement mods on console games because the servers are all corporate-owned. Games are almost never coded to include them, either (even titles that thrive on mods like Bethesda's stuff). That's one area where the PC will continue to have a major advantage. And split screen multiplayer makes about as much sense in Minecraft as it does in an MMO. Very, very unlikely.

That's awesome news. God damn, I love Bethesda. I'm not going to have the scratch to put together a new gaming rig in time for Skyrim, so 360's really my only option. Very encouraging article; thanks for the link.

I'd like to add that you'll find the same number of screaming little kids and griefing jackasses on any PC multiplayer server. Hell, just search "Minecraft griefing" on YouTube. They record themselves being assholes.
The first page of posts has convinced me that PC gamers are no more mature than xbox gamers. Especially Shin, he/she (I didn't bother to check the profile) sounds exactly like the kids that are being complained about. I welcome any and all ports because that means a bigger community, which may bring more immature and idiotic people, but it also brings creative and intelligent minds as well.

I would love to see the kinect controls. Are we actually going to have to take a break from minecraft because we start sweating and getting out of breath? that would be amazingly different from PC =D

There are over 100 million Android users, and yet they limit Minecraft to one freaking phone released March this year?

Yep, no PC required. All you need is a router and the Xbox can get online.
Reminds me of when I was using my laptop as the wifi adapter back in the day...that sucked.
