IF YOU GO OUT AND BUY THE GAME, KNOW THAT YOU WONT GET MODS, OR ANY OF THE OTHER GOOD PERKS THAT COME WITH THE PC. Honestly, now minecraft will be full of 7 year old console players, trolling in every server, so basically, if you intend to play minecraft on a console, you better be ready to play singleplayer only.

There have been plenty of self-confessed console gamers in this thread already, and honestly, I'm pretty sure they would have voiced their concern had they given a ****. Thing is, they don't give a ****, which kinda makes your allcaps-driven rant irrelevant. All they really care about is the ability to play the game competently at all.

Im glad that Notch decided to expand Minecraft to xbox .But there is a downside to the relase date of the xbox version .With all the new console games shown at E3 like MW3,BATTLEFIELD 3,HALO CE,ETC coming out this winter.Its gonna be tough for Minecraft to get its big break like it did on the pc.It became popluar almost overnight and with those huge titles coming out its gonna be tough for it to get popular.I think it would be a better idea to push back the release of the game a bit because it would make it easier to get noticed,I know from experience that games like MW3 never get old from us xboxers.But what the hell do I know.
People with a 360 and access to the XBLA will probably have some sort of computer that's able to run Minecraft, making a port fairly redundant imo. Also, I'm wondering how controls will work with this. Can't really picture Minecraft with anything but a mouse.
3 points need to be addressed to.1) It's not coming to anything but the x-box kinect, will have option of controller. No psp or whatever you call it, so quit asking questions about it.2) Modding and texture packs will continue. As far as I have read in these comments these mods and texture packs will stay as they are. I don't see why they would be gone but people are just complaining away of how they will be gone, etc.3) What's so bad of Minecraft coming to the X-box world. It just shows how much more popular it got, yes i do think it should've actually have an actual PC version done first, but no not every game comes prepared and finished. There's more time to progress and grow, so bitching now won't solve anything. It is what it is, I hope in my heart Notch was thinking that with this new money he's gonna be getting he'll be spending more time investing his hours upon this game. If he decides to take a vacation it's his choice, it is his money he made. We all take breaks in life so whats the harm of him taking a break from creating a wonderful game. My opinion: I think this would a more generic decision for both PC and X-box. This game is, in my eye, still fractured a little and needs more jazz or adventure, hoping in the next update, in it before publishing onto something so big as X-box. People are just angry because of the new player that's going to be entering Minecraft. Not everyone is as bad as you think. There's good players of COD, Halo, etc. People are just overreacting, this idea was Notch to make and if you don't like it leave because you know what, Minecraft doesn't need a griefer like you, calling others while you are one yourself. In the world of gaming You got to be accepting of everything, even the crappy things(well not the toooo crappy thingsg).
i think the idea of actually MOVING YOUR BODY to play minecraft is awesome, besides......we bought the game. will notch care if we stop playing becuz of this? 0.0
not all xbox fans are bad. a lot of us are civil. however there are many who are tweaked out youngans who dont know the meaning of "watch your tongue". so please dont generalize your hatred to ALL xbox fans and thin it down to the few who are truely annoying.

As I'm a frequent player of Xbox I would support this but sadly I don't. I really don't like the idea. This will ruin the game. You wont be able to install mods, texture packs or anything. Also I don't want to buy Kinnect crap.
Ok I'm just wondering, With a version of Minecraft going on XBox360 I was wondering if Notch would send out a redeem code to people who bought the game while in Indev/Alpha, would it apply to what Notch has stated in the Updates and stuff that Notch stated before Beta was released?
