If you read the comment carefully, by the phrasing of the sentence about the kinect support: ''it's coming complete with Kinect functionality '', you can tell that implicitly the kinect is IN ADDITION to controller support, thus making the entire thing ''complete''. Ask yourself, why would Notch shell out the effort to port minecraft to the xbox, then exclude controller support. That requires the kind of cynicism that is simply incompatible with a game about hopping around a blocky paradise building fantastic houses and riding pigs.

Unfortunately yes you will, as MS dont allow free XBL Arcade games, but if MC comes as an indie game then it can be as low as 80MSP, on the side note I dont care if its on Xbox only, as MS are smart, people that dont have a PC or Mac can now afford an Xbox and play one of the most hyped games of 2011.My friend cant play MC because his Laptop is crap, but he owns a 360 like all my friends, bar 1 and my self that own both (PS3 and Xbox) so this means we can all play now and also I would gladly pay £35 a year for XBL, considering its going to cost me £70+ for a annual server for 4 players.Unfortunately there are more 360's out there than PS3's. Notch has a business now to run, so money speaks very big words and Sony never got there first, as they were contending with the hacking and removal of services.All in all, I'm glad Notch is expanding, he has a right to do so and that millions of people will get to try out MC.

The intelligence and common sense levels in this thread are near non-existent. I'd rather play with a lot of console gamers in Minecraft than with most of you people.

I mean damn, if I came up with this brilliant idea and was approached by a massive corporation willing to pay me a bunch of money so it could be ported to another popular gaming medium, I'd be all "pfffft, money is for SELLOUTS and I'm keeping this baby pure and on PC, like the nerd gods intended" and slap the stacks of cash right out of their hands.

You realize Ken Levine, the guy who created the game Bioshock is rich, right? One of the most original IPs in decades made that guy a lot of money and he's about to do it again with Bioshock Infinite.
You also realize that Sid Meier is also pretty rich, and yet he still churns out Civ games for multiple platforms...and success has not gotten to his head.
We could also talk about Alexey Pajitnov....the creator of Tetris that has the record for being on the most platforms more than any other game. That guy is still pretty humble.
What if Minecraft is the new Tetris? Would you really deny anyone that kind of success simply because you don't think anyone else should play Minecraft except you?
