Just satisfy me with fixing multi player and making it easier, so I can make a server for me and my friends and not get attacked by kids with lava buckets.
Uhm, the guy who talked about Minecraft (for 1 minute) on E3 said it would be exclusive for Xbox :/
Does that mean that we who have bought it for PC won`t be able to play it anymore when it gets released!?
I won`t buy an Xbox, I have enough with buying games to PS3 and Vita when that come.
The game's not even finished yet. Notch is an idiot.
You're an idiot. The release date for the finished game is 11/11/11. The 360 version comes out after that.
Seriously, you guys really surprise me. Do you not want Minecraft to do well and take the gaming community by storm? The only way to do that is to think big. Notch is a great businessman and his company is going to go far at this rate and we'll have more Minecraft goodness than we'll know what to do with. As well as other great games I'm sure they'll churn out.
Small Indie teams can only do so much. With a game as big in scope as Minecraft, the potential is limitless and Notch would be a moron not to take advantage of that and push it as far as he can. This is a good thing.

I do :smile.gif:
I just needed to be sure that he wouldn`t shut it down for PC.
If they were to release it for PS3 I would buy it again, but I doubt they`ll release it for that.
I sincerely hope that it is not cross platform, there will be Xbox servers and PC/Mac/Linux servers. And if it is cross platform, no voice chat. I do not want to hear the CoD fanboys and Halo fanboys.

This wouldn't surprise me one bit. MS gives Notch a handsome pay off, errr I mean incentive for the rights to Minecraft. Betting on millions of MC addicts being forced to buy a 360 to continue updating their addiction. Would be an ultimate sell out of course and really a death blow to anyone giving any indie support in the future (really a win/win for MS).
I hate this idea not cause of the xbox, not cause of xbox people... I hate it cause it's on the Kinect... just.... I can't even start to explain my deep hate for that. Notch I get you wanting to expand MC but locking it to xbox is a bad idea and mainly putting it to work with Kinect.... if you saw the back lash on E3 already about xbox you would understand.
oh well like most xbox games give it time it'll show up on ps3 one day >:smile.gif:
Quick Question: Will this be ONLY for the Kinect or could I access it throught the regular arcade? And also all the people who are hating on this.. Please dont.. More people is a good success for Minecraft and anyways what about the people who cant run minecraft well? or who cant play multiplayer well? They would be able on the xbox! And if its only for the kinect im going to the pc guys side and fill this port with hate and misery.
For all of the people complaining, Notch is just trying to spread his idea and his game to as many gamers as he can, i agree that this could conflict eith future updates but honestly, until i see a dramatic effect from this I dont see how we can all complain
I hope you makes lots of money and give up Minecraft to Microsoft's gimmicks so you may go on more vacations while you leave Minecaft to get stain without any meaningful updates.
Minecraft conquers the world :tongue.gif: I still prefer to PC game only.
Kinda sorta. They're still missing out on two major console makers. (Sony and Nintendo) However, until or if Nintendo gets their act together with their next system in the near future, maybe that to will be possible. Look on the brightside people. At least, the Wii isn't the one receiving Minecraft.
Nothing wrong with Notch wanting to make some money on the side. But I REALLY want MC for PS3 as well. I hope Notch wouldn't be so stupid as to sign exclusivity with XBox. Hope you're reading this, sire?
1. PS3 is more powerfull and reliable than XBox 360 http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/111/1116182p1.html
2. PS3 has a better networking infrastructure in PSN and unique marketing possibilities via PSHome
3. PS3 brings the possibility of a massive MC-mania in the western AND eastern hemisphere market, unlike XBox
4. Minecraft is multiplayer oriented - show off or build together and while for XBox live you have to pay, PSN is free. I'm not spending £40 on a MCraft XBox title where I have to pay each month to build a castle with my friends but I'm willing to pay the price for a PS3 version because it comes without any additional cost
5. And (most important of all Mr. Notch), SONY won't screw you over like Mr. William Gates
That's the way I see it. Notch, I hope you really didn't sign exclusivity with Microsoft. That would only halve the number of potential customers = half the potential income. If you had - kiss Minecraft goodbye, Microsoft will take over and leave you on the street. They have a history of stealing other peoples ideas and, henceforth, their income.
Minecraft is too good a game to end up like this. I'm not playing it with the Microsoft logo lurking in the backround.
Howk, I spoke.
I don't see anything bad about it either, but the PS3 should have gotten it to, for reasons 1, 3, and 4. To expand upon number 3, I'd like to restate how well Play-Share-Create (or however it's pronounced) type games do on the PS3. Judging by how things are going now (with just the PC), chances are, Minecraft might just rival Little Big Planet and its sequel in games sold on the PS3, if they play their cards correctly. I'm not too sure on reasons 2 and 5, but maybe. Even though I can care less for Home, it's probably a bit better than Microsoft's avatar thing or whatever it is, which I think in turn is much better than the Miis. I think he said it's also controller compatible, so people fussing about the Kinetic part can kindly drop that part. As long as no exclusivity deal crops up, I'm alright with Minecraft on the 360. We'll probably follow later this year or next E3.

"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.
I am just saying that percent wise much more X-box gamers will troll MInecraft because they are not used to the Indie game style and will not apprecaite Minecraft and its true creative beuty they will login and say
" W NO GraFics And gUNs Lik COd, you are NooOOOoooOBBBbbbZZZZ"
it is just Pc gamers are generally more mature then console gamers there are still inmature Pc gamers and mature console gamers
Yea and you are acting like one of them. Honestly you should go back and read what you said. It was totally out of line and immature.

Oh, and
Cod Fanboys = Halo Fanboys = Minecraft Community
