ok, testing somethin in 12w30c and had a fun issue with creative. Hopefully I can explain it without sounding like an idiot, and confusing everyone.
OK, say I am in creative mode, and pick up 4 pink wool. I place said wool in my survival mode inventory. (Bug 1 here) Graphics on any other inventory slot change to match said item (in this case - 4 pink wool), so it now looks like 2 seperate groups of 4 pink wool in my inventory.
I exit creative mode and open my inventory now, and click on the duplicate stack. it graphic changes back to what it should be (or becomes an empty space if that was what it originally was).
(Bug 2 here) I click to pick up my original stack of 4 pink wool. It becomes 1 pink wool. Somehow, it loses almost all of whatever amount of -insert item here- that I just added in creative, leaving me with just 1 unit of it.
This bug did not occur in 12w30b, and reverting back to 12w30b meant it stopped happening.
I apologize for sounding like a complete moron in this post, and if anyone can actually understand what I'm trying to explain, and hopefully eitehr duplicate the issue, or figure out how I was screwing it up (I have played with creative before and never had it happen.)
i downloaded it and it came downloaded as a zip file i looked in it and inside were minecraft class files. i put them in a new fresh minecraft.jar and the game crashed. i put in everything that was in the zip and put it in the minecraft.jar. what do i do to get this snapshot?
When on peaceful mode and I go into a dungeon with skeletons in the spawner I get arrows shot at me from the spawner.
That can happen but rarely. Mobs that spawn in peaceful mode are supposed to vanish instantly, but there's still enough time for a mob to do something right before the game deletes them from existence.

I wouldn't say rarely. It happened to me twice today in 2 different dungeons. Though this is not any big problem just thought I'd bring it up for general information though it seems from your reply this is already known about.

Ur doing it all wrong bro xD
All you have to do is move the minecraft.jar out of your bin and move the snapshot minecraft.jar into the bin. If it freezes on 'done loading'
when you try to load the game, rename the minecraft.jar from minecraft(7) to just minecraft.

Maybe it was still there after the night, OR there was a lighting bug (these occur way too often since anvil)
It was my first day in that world so it was most likely a lighting bug.

I thought they said the would be no more snapshots until 1.3
They are doing a couple of snapshots in the last week and then they are going to release the actual 1.3
They are doing the snapshots so modders can get their mods ready for 1.3

One thing to note...he was running a single player game in LAN mode for this. We're both using MagicLauncher 0.9.8 and identical jar files, but I'm on Vista x64 with 64 bit Java, and he's on XP using 32 bit Java. Dunno if that even might matter, but our MC setups are identical; his is a copy directly from mine. I was completely unaffected by this, other than the rightmost block on the same row as the placed item changing its icon to match the placed item, but correcting to the proper item after being picked up once. Always had the correct count of items.
First people complain that Minecraft is too easy, yet people don't like this change because it makes the game harder. I really don't understand the logic of this fanbase.
Why do wolves and ocelots STILL spawn like crazy and behave all weird? They still spawn in massive numbers, follow me even though they're not tamed, and apparently this has been going on since 1.2.3. WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?! (PS I do have the mod that fixes this though I want to get pets the right way)

Wierd, It hasn't happened to me on this snapshot, I'm having trouble even finding ocelots.

I'm waiting for Wool stairs and the ability to make Creepers Neutral...at least they should be neutral on Easy & Normal or give us the option to set it. Creepers too powerful for easy and possibley normal. I can understand having them KOS on hard for a real challenge though. Would also like to see Hunger for peaceful. :/

I've never had this issue, they usually spawn sparcely for me, and run from me. This has been the case sense 1.2.3 O.o
I just tested some things, and I'm astounded. On 1.2.5, with the latest multicore Optifine and Fancy/Far/Etc. I get around 20 FPS staring at the sky, and around 10 while doing stuff. On 12w30c, also with Fancy/Far/Etc., I get around 23 FPS staring at the sky, and around 12 while doing stuff. Mojang really stepped up their game with this snapshot.

Pretty much, when the > <s blink, the word moves.
I made a .gif picture to show what happens better than I can describe it:
Wastier is a word!

Now if you place a stair on the top half on a block, it'll be placed upside-down.
