This is great! Still, I'm surprised that it's beating out all those AAA titles. (Aside from Halo, that one was expected. Still, you gotta' love Halo!) I expected the sales to drop, at least.

Thinking about Minecraft on every console makes me think of games like Rayman 2! I don't actually WANT to see Minecraft on every console cos it seems like it's TRYING to get my attention, and is trying to pull the into the Minecraft darkness, where I'll never escape the Minecraft world! Just thinking about it is making me sleepy... soooo sleeeeeeeepppppppyyyyyyy... but seriously, I wouldn't like it on EVERY SINGLE CONSOLE IN THE WORLD! Just too much money to buy too many consoles, just for the same, godamn game! But well done Mojang for getting me to buy it for the PC and the x-box 360!

this i have to agree with, most games that i see the most of are fps games, not just call of duty. though i will admit i have some violent games myself, but i play minecraft for the artistic side, and i love seeing what terrain the game will make. my current map has 4 holes, not sure why but is cool.
edit: to the op, i have a hard time believing this beat out a halo game and battlefield 3, partly i can see skyrim because of the problems that plague it, the ps3 is the worst to me. i had the ps3 version but ditched it for the pc version, it is better but it can act up when it wants too.
but when the xbox was first made i swear halo was all i saw for way too long.

xD I know. Im completely with you there. But most kids these days would rather play modern warfare or something. But I know a lot of adults who love minecraft, so i dont count it as a little kids game. When I hear 'little kids game' I think of some dumb dora thing or something, not one of the best selling video games with bad graphics.

I hope that becomes possible, but I don't know if it is. I read the limitation is due to the X360 save file size limitation. I think MS would have to ease that to allow it to be possible, but I don't see that happening. Then again if their biggest selling XBLA game is crippled due to the limitation, I guess it's still possible.
I totaly agree with you. And why stop at PS3 and Wii. Why not expand to PS Vita and 3DS. I own a 3DS so I'd DEFINETLY buy the 3DS Version. (as long as they updated it to be like the PC version.) Just imagine all the money they would make.
um, it will never be on psvita. there is a crappy homebrew game of it on psp, but even though psvita is better than psp, it still does not have enough power to play minecraft. niether does the 3ds. if it were to be releasesd on psvita, it would be very limited and would suck. and wii? it would suck on wii due to the wii controllers. xbox plans to add kinect support, so there would be no need to play it on wii,. and it would be very enjoyable for ps3 but sadly i dont see them doin that. if they do, it will be about a few years away.

1) how far back the MCX360 version is. After paying for it, and looking forward to it, I was hit with a harsh reality that not only can we not breed or feed the animals, as you kill them to stay alive, they spawn less an less in that "area of death".
2) "Cant place lava near spawn point" oh really? whats wrong with me putting lava in my house? nothing. i shouldnt have to travel more then 200 blocks away to make a cobblestone generator
3) multiplayer.... dont tell me 4 way split screen requires HDMI + HDTV... Nindendo64... Goldeneye....nuff said.
4) Skins .....This one REALLY bugs me. I have no problem with "X360 EXCLUSIVES" for example a special skin or tool that require payment, but Skins and Texture packs are a staple of "Free" in the minecraft community. Developers have spent hours, weeks, months even adding these treats for us to use.
Skins should be free. They should have an xbox exclusive that cost. sure why not. but not all skins should be at a price. What happens when it comes to texture packs? i would expect microstink to rank in the doe there too.. and im sure they will with mods..
i got this version because to be honest, it doesnt crash like it does on my pc. i have an old one, cant afford a new one, and this works out well. but my son who is 9 has enjoyed getting to know minecraft and to see all that it can do... only to turn on my xbox and say "wait ...dad.... you cant feed the pigs? you cant make them have more??? how come the only food thats unlimited is wheat?? im not a vegatarian!!!"
