I seriously just can't wait for the new update. I mean i understand that 1.7.3 just came out, but a lot of people are already eager to get their hands on the new updates. I do understand that it'll be hard to release it quickly and that 4J is working their hardest to release the update. Minecraft on xbox is great!

The official release date is Agust 1st.
There hasn't been a release date announced yet, but I would say sometime in the next couple of months. Keep an eye here on the Forum.

you realize you can plug a wired Xbox controller into your PC and use that, right?
Not without modding the game. Venilla Minecraft doesn't support gamepads.
