Hamachi no longer allows anybody on my Hamachi network to even connect anymore. I guess there's no way to make a server anymore, and it's impossible for me to port forward because my ISP doesn't allow it.
This is the best update ever! My favorite part is when it freezes when almost done loading! Now, why would that be? I changed to 12w24a instead because 12w25a screws up my Minecraft.
Yeah, one of my friends does tons of building with Netherbrick... i feel sorry for him not having halfslabs. I always build with dark wood and it frikkin sucked not being able to have stairs.
I noticed wood slabs seem to no longer burn 1.5 items per slab. I think it's probably 0.75 items per slab now, to make it in line with half of a wood block, which is what it should be equivalent too, I suppose. Not sure if it was changed in this snapshot or not.
The three new types of Wooden Stairs cannot be crafted.
When creating a world, using punctuation (./:"*><?) will appear as _ unlike previous versions. (E.g. 1.3 will appear as 1_3) (?)
Impossible to rename a world
World Name is always replaced by the Folder Name after playing in the concerned world.
Single player freezes at moments, does not always play sounds, and is much laggier then before on some computers.
The three new stairs cannot be set on fire with flint and steel.

It's pretty fun. I'm looking for people to play with.
I'm just hosting my own game, and anyone is welcome to join. It's a new map.
I'll be hosting 24/7 so no worries about downtime.
Be sure to use the latest snapshot.
71.212.238.85
if that's the open to lan function, then it obviously won't work. also, stop spamming on the snapshot with your crappy servers
One of the major bugs with this snapshot makes every entity freeze, making the game unplable... I'm disappointed.... There has to be a b version
Same thing is happening for me. My comp isn't the greatest, but it has always played the game fine before. I think the RAM update is helping with chunk rendering, but it does seem that there is a consistent lag of a second or two every 8-10 seconds. For now, I just learned to swing my sword like crazy when the zombies would suddenly stop moving for a bit. I hope they get this worked out for 1.3 or at least offer updated video settings for those who are experiencing this (i.e. java XMS RAM, fast graphics, OpenGL, etc) because the current methods aren't cutting it.
On a side note, I think I have fallen in love with extreme hills on Large Biomes. There was a large thread earlier about how biomes were lacking. Now, I feel Large Biomes has in a way fixed it. Now that a biome fills half a map, there is so much room to put content in each type of biome. Extreme Hills have some scattered trees, Tiaga has large mountains, not to mention you can find ruins in both desert and jungle now. Though, if they are going to make sandstone villages in desert, I wish they would do something like cobblestone villages in snow. Seems like villages are only limited to plains and desert. At least put them in swamp! ... or are they already?
Added an "Open to LAN" menu in the in-game menu, which allows players to open their world to other players. In the menu, the player can choose to turn cheats on or off, and choose the game mode.
The multiplayer menu now scans for LAN servers (singleplayer worlds which are on the same LAN and have been published with the /publish command).
Villagers may remove a trade option after it has been used at least 3 times.
Added wooden stairs for the remaining three wood types (spruce, birch and jungle).
Redstone (including repeaters, torches, levers, and pressure plates), Torches and Rails can now be placed on top of upside down slabs and stairs.
Fixed a freeze bug when opening the texture pack folder from in-game
Fixed published games apparently staying open for visitors when the host leaves
Fixed Villagers not showing hearts around them when mating
Fixed respawning causing your skin is to be set to the default until you leave and come back
Fixed being unable to hear TNT from more than 16 blocks away
Notable Bugs
The three new types of Wooden Stairs cannot be crafted.
When creating a world, using punctuation (./:"*><?) will appear as _ unlike previous versions. (E.g. 1.3 will appear as 1_3) (?)

Thank you good sir for coming up with this list. I see you dug a little further then some of us. Would you mind too much if I added this list to my website? Find it in my signature.

If someone from Mojang reads this:
PLAESE let Adventure Mode players place torches and ladders! )':
It's really really not fun to play like that, once you get trapped somewhere, you're doomed ):

And because of that you only use adventure mode when you're playing an adventure map where you can't get trapped. And I doubt someone at Mojang will ever read this. Why don't you tell Jeb or Dinnerbone your idea via Twitter?
But... If you play an adventure map, and a creeper blows up and trap you?
I have found a few bugs and want to know if anyone else found these.
> SMP block lag in SSP.
Playing in single player i am having the same block lag i get on few smp servers. Blocks coming back after being mined. Stone blocks turning into dirt/gravel blocks after being mined.

The icons appear inverted in 12w25a Snapshot, a little disturbing to identify them, because the number is on your face.

If you think it annoys people when you don't read the whole thread, imagine how much it angers them when you don't even read the first post.
Probably not. 1.4 (Unless they change their minds)
