Is single player buggy with anyone else?! When I mine it lags and send me back a block sometimes. Then NPC's jump around, I dont want a creeper to jump right into my face and blow up.
I normally don't use snapshots but all these new features? This is becoming too much to wait for! Amazing changes to the game, I am so looking forward to the improved memory usage in both the client and the server, this will make it so much easier to host. Great job Mojang! Release 1.3 soon!
I just wish they would bring back the old Singleplayer saving system! What ever happened to the "Saving Chunks" screen??
I honestly think that Singleplayer is getting ****ed up beyond belief. Also, when I installed this snapshot and loaded my Survival world, my entire inventory was deleted! I can't even restore my player.dat file back to a previous state with Windows, because when I do, Minecraft just overwrites the file, respawning me without my items (as if I died).
I'm really getting pissed off. What the **** is Mojang thinking? Do they really think that getting rid of the "Saving Chunks" screen helps?
I think Mojang is doing too many retarded things to Minecraft. MOJANG, PLEASE FIX SINGLEPLAYER!!
The whole point of snapshot releases is testing on multiple systems. Even catastrophic glitches/bugs are to be expected on some occasions. Nooby post is nooby.
Crafting stairs always yields oak stairs. Even if using all jungle wooded planks it still yeilds oak stairs. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!
The different kind of stairs are only in the creative inventory.

I'd have to agree minus the flaming.... I only play single player and 12w24a is essentially unplayable due to constant crashes, and now according to the wiki, "Mobs and entities are frozen, causing the game mostly unplayable". Horrible grammar aside, this is just bad. I'm considering going back to 1.2.5 until 1.3 comes out.

There is no such thing as something that does not exist.

I doubt they forgot to add it. They probably just ran out of time. That's one of the funny things about timed snapshots, stuff's not always complete when they release it. I would suggest you wait 1 week, and then you can craft all the jungle steps you could ever want.
I'm a bit bummed at trading. I was hoping for some kind of economics, though I know that takes a lot of time/effort that would probably be better used elsewhere. I was just hoping, maybe, that if you bought a lot of something the price would go up until it was too expensive to do any more. And if you ignored a villager, he'd eventually come up with something different to sell you.
Learn to spell AMERICA correctly. In fact learn how to use proper punctuation, spelling and general grammar. Then and then you can come back and call all of us "red necks".
English is not my motherlanguage so how it would be wenn du mal eine andere sprache lernst, angepisst bist und einen commentar schreibst und dann wieder deine fresse aufmachst... how you would like this?? And i write what i think, if you think i meant you with red neck thats your fould And now leave me the f. allown, How you would like it if only germany or australia would be able to get free stuff and you have to pass out on everything?? America is not the only country ffs
You do realize they always warn with snapshot downloads that saves may be corrupted as a result. It's not mojang's fault your saves got corrupted.
I understand that Mojang isn't responsible for save corruption, because I still have previous versions of my player data file. I just don't get why the game keeps trying to overwrite my data when I load the world.
But what I still don't get is why they still haven't brought back the Singleplayer "Saving Chunks" screen! Mobs still freeze, chunks still stop loading, and worlds still don't save upon quitting every time. They claimed to have fixed it in 12w24a, but I still seem to be experiencing the problem!
If Mojang doesn't end up really fixing the bug with mobs freezing, etc., I'm gonna be quite upset. Is there any way to fix the world-freezing / "Save and Quit" bug?

Great idea, but we put it on the server I am on, and it was unplayable. The lag was insane. The server is hosted in the UK, and I play in Canada. It was just as bad for my British friends as it was for me. Block lag, mobs movements were choppy, could barely hold a text conversation. 1.3 is a long way off.

dude....its a snapshot....their fixing it.....CALM DOWN!!!!
The new stairs aren't working for me. If I use jungle wood, I get oak wood stairs. Anyone else having this problem?I guess they forgot to add a way to craft the new stairs. =(

Sure there is one, even if it isn't intended for minecraft.

Traded a villager more than 50 times and nothing happened.
